Rotten

This is the 2nd brisket I have purchased recently that was bad. Smelled rotten when I opened package. I have bought this brisket for years with no problems. I have enjoyed them and recommended them to others, but something has gone wrong last few months. Not sure what has changed but this is greatly concerning and it may no longer be a viable food source.

SO Much Fat

I bought three of these. I am extremely familiar with brisket and this was not good. One of the three was ok, the other two had SO much fat, you could barely get a few slices. I literally threw away more than I could serve. I understand that brisket can be a fatty meat and a certain amount of fat gives flavor - but this was not edible. I spent over and hour trying to trim the fat & salvage some of the meat. I will never purchase this brand again.

Sneaking Around to Savor it's greatness!

I have purchased this brisket a few times and I'm always very satisfied. The meat is tender, juicy, and seasoned well. My favorite part is, it's already cooked and ready to add to your favorite sides or on bread for a quick sandwich. . The only flaw is my dog loves it too and I find myself hiding it like contraband with the anxiety of getting busted. Ha ha I will still end up sharing some with her but it's easier to enjoy without the disappointed look on her face because I'm not giving it all to her! Haha yep, it's that good!

Not worth the expense

I've had 2 of these. The first was just OK. The second one was massive package of fat with very little edible meat. The brisket is also sliced the wrong direction. Should be against the grain. Saddlers needs better quality control. For $70, i feel that I got ripped off. I dont recommend these briskets.

Very Good

I've been using this brisket for several years and what I like to do is break it apart and layer it in a aluminum baking pan. Then I use worcestershire sause and Montreal Steak Seasoning on each layer-not to much and I use sliced onions on top also. I find it doesn't dry out and you can heat it less. People Love it

Worst Brisket EVER!

I bought the Sadler's Smokehouse Sliced Brisket two days ago, and it is, WITHOUT A DOUBT, the WORST brisket I've ever purchases. It is extremely greasy and includes all the fatty greasy portion that is ALWAYS trimmed off when you buy any quality product from a direct vendor (BBQ house)! I WILL NEVER purchase this product again

Love these briskets! Easy to prepare and hasa wonderful flavor! Ee buy them for most holidays. Wish they were avalable at my local Sams Club so I didnt have to drive to other Sams locations to get them though. Also wish the app/website would tell me which stores had them in stock rather than me having to switch home store locations to each store to check inventory if mine shows out of stock.

Tender but No Flavor

I bought one of these yesterday pricey at $45 but thought I would freeze some for later. I cooked it in a Bag in oven after adding 1/2 cup water. Slit top and cooked low 330 for 30 minutes. It came out nicely, poured off the excess water/grease and sat on plate. Separated, cooled and put in freezer bags to have at later dates. Made a plate for me immediately, the meat was tender, somewhat dry, not too fat, and looked really good. However there was no taste, definitely not any hickory flavor or any flavor whatsoever. I put some BBQ sauce on it but still no flavor, ended up giving most of it to my chihuahua. I served with my homemade potato salad and Sam's Baked Beans with Brisket which was excellent. Based on this and being so pricey, will try adding Liquid Smoke and BBQ sauce to each package when heated up & mashed up for sandwiches and hope this works. Will not be purchasing this again.
