Wild Caught Skin-On Sockeye Salmon Fillet

The number 1 thing is that it is wild caught (supposedly). The packaging made the product to appear to be reasonably fresh. We enjoyed the taste of the air fried cooked product.

Only store found selling true wild caught salmon!

SAMs is the only place I have found so far in Brevard County that you can get actual wild caught. One store in town is selling "wild caught Atlantic salmon" which is false advertising. Wild caught Atlantic salmon is not allowed in the United States due to federal law. All Atlantic salmon, From all producers be they Canada, Norway, Scandinavia, etc., in all stores in United States is farmed. If you've never tasted wild caught versus farmed, you're in for a treat. You can tell wild caught just by looking, by it's darker color and it's closer serrations of fat and meat. Wild caught is highly muscled because it has to swim for a living, versus farm salmon which is fattier and less tasteful. I really should not be telling you this because in Brevard County the supply is very limited.

Fantastic Sockeye

Excellent quality sockeye salmon!! Firm, fresh and wonderful deep salmon taste! Great when I bake it with just lemon, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper! Or seared with garlic and herb seasoning!

Sockeye Salmon Skin-on

The salmon fresh and of a great color. There was no strong fishy odor upon removal from the packaging. No bones were found before or after cooking. Spread with some extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, garlic and black pepper. Cooked as expected in convection oven at 365F for about 20 minutes......beautiful!

Great flavor at a great price.

We love Member's Mark Wild Caught Skin-On Sockeye Salmon Fillet. I have grilled them and baked them. They lways have great flavor, taste great, and my family enjoys them for dinner....They cost more than the Atlantic, but they are a great price for the healthier Wild Sockeye Salmon

Salmon I can tolerate well.

My son started me on SockEye Salmon, and I may never go back to regular salmon. During one of my pregnancies, I was turned off the scent of tuna (can or fresh), salmon, and Chinese fast food scents. This is the first salmon that agrees with my nose.

Members Mark Wild Caught Salmon

This salmon is outstanding! The only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars is that it is difficult to find it in 1 to 1 1/2 pound packaging. SAMS has a tendency to package it in 2+ pound packaging which is just too much for me in a short period of time.

Good quality, but a little fishy

Cooked well, tasted good, but there was a little bit of an extra fishy taste. I know, it is a fish, but compared to the other salmon option at Sams, this was was a little stronger than I prefer, but I will get this again.

Awful smell

I have purchased wild caught salmon for the past few years, I have not had any issues until last week. This time the fish started to smell 3 days before it expired. Still in original packaging, refrigerator running at 37 degrees, this slab of fish gave off an odor so powerful the whole refrigerator smelled. I lost over $30 on unopened fish, I could not tolerate the odor to drive 20 miles to a Sam's Club to return it. I do NOT recommend

Poor quality choice

One of the salmon flanks were fine, but I smelled the other and it smelled funny— but, I just assumed because it was a different type of salmon versus the one we normally get. So I prepped them and separated them in freezer bags for desired use. Pulled it out after a week and smelled them again, and it was spoiled. I would buy again, but with fresher quality
