Maybe I got a bad unit? We were able to seal 2 bags and that was it. Took “gaskets” out and flipped them over and that gave us the 2nd vac, but none after that. Very disappointed. For something that should suck, it did not. Debating on trying again, the foam gaskets seem cheap and useless to me.

The Food saver vacuum sealer is nice because it doesn't take up as much room as the previous models I have owned. It doesn't hold any roles, so you have to store them elsewhere. The little portable vacuum sealer for resealable bags was a nice addition. Of course the portable vacuum does take longer to empty the bag.

We needed to replace our Food Saver and chose this on becuase of the smaller size. So far we have been very happy with it. We have been Food Sver users since they first came out in an infomercial many moons ago! Such a great way to save some money!!!

This is not the first time we own a FoodSaver vacuum sealer machine. The previous machine still works well but since this unit was on sale so we decided to get one as spare. This FoodSaver is much the same as prior model and it works as intended. It pulls a vacuum and seals automatic with one button or stop the vacuum and seal or just seal with the seal button. Construction quality is good for home use as most components were made out of plastic but that do not compromise quality. It is the way to go if you don't want to worry about freezer burnt food. Yes, we highly recommend this product to anyone.

It was not what I expected and it was not what I was supposed to get. The web site said I was to get the sealer, extra bags, a roll of bags and a hand sealer. What I received was the sealer, some loss bags, no roll and no hand sealer. The quality of the unit was less than I expected, didn't have storage for a roll and was not adjustable for wet or dry product or fast and slow speed as my old one, and like every thing today very light so it had to be held down to keep from sliding around, it's Okay if you have three hands.

Food inflation prompted me to purchase this to extend the shelf life and reduce the amount of spoiled or expired food. It is easy to operate and takes a couple of attempts to figure out how to place the bag in the right position to effectively seal. The vacuum is sized appropriately and the bonus handheld sealer is compatible with my older Foodsaver fresh containers. The consumables and reusable bags included with the unit will keep me stocked for several months since I use it several times a week. A clear indicator mark or contrast color of the drip container along with a built-in bag cutter blade would make this a 5-star review.

After having FoodSaver products for over 30 years, I ordered the the sealer to cut back on counter space. I was disappointed by the lack of some of the features of the larger units, such as, the bag cutter, the pull out accessory vac tube, etc. I have several accessories that require the vac tube, such as, marinating pans, jar sealers, etc.I just had to order vac tubes from Walmart, hopefully they will do the job. As for the handheld sealer, I still have and use an old handheld vac from 25 years ago. My old larger FoodSaver and old handheld, I gifted to a friend from church.

I love Food Saver Products. Ive had a Food Saver for over 10 years and it stopped sealing. There was no question which sealing system I should get but Idid research the all. Food Saver was my choice again and I loved all the new features and bonuses that came with it. I prepare my meats and freeze. I use a marker to indicate the date it was in the freezer. I even bought a Food Saver for my son and daughter-in-law and they love it.

We like everything about this product. I had never had one or used one before but its very easy to use. I ordered this one because of the extra handheld suction for the zipper bags. I guess the only thing it didn't have was bag storage under the sealer but thats ok because its more compact for storage.

Did a great job. If it's a product with lots fluids, I had trouble trying to get the bag to vacuum seal but I left a little extra at end of bag and it sealed it fine. Because as the vacuum is sucking out the air it's pulling the juices out and it won't properly seal. Just have to figure out the little work arounds.
