I purchased this item 2 days ago and needed to use it today for the first time. It would not seal nor would it vacuum and seal. I tried it several times and wouldn’t work. Just a lot of noise. I had a Food Saver back in the 80’s and loved it. Was really hoping that the quality was still there. I’ll be headed back to Walmart today to return this useless product. How could Food Saver even let these non working machines pass their quality control? Or is there even a quality control check with Food Saver anymore?

We needed to replace our Food Saver and chose this on becuase of the smaller size. So far we have been very happy with it. We have been Food Sver users since they first came out in an infomercial many moons ago! Such a great way to save some money!!!

After having FoodSaver products for over 30 years, I ordered the the sealer to cut back on counter space. I was disappointed by the lack of some of the features of the larger units, such as, the bag cutter, the pull out accessory vac tube, etc. I have several accessories that require the vac tube, such as, marinating pans, jar sealers, etc.I just had to order vac tubes from Walmart, hopefully they will do the job. As for the handheld sealer, I still have and use an old handheld vac from 25 years ago. My old larger FoodSaver and old handheld, I gifted to a friend from church.

We have talked about getting one of these for years because we like to buy in bulk. This works great! Just as expected and easy to use. I really like the separate small vacuum for the zoo bags too! Very convenient for grabbing something out and then quickly resealing.

Food inflation prompted me to purchase this to extend the shelf life and reduce the amount of spoiled or expired food. It is easy to operate and takes a couple of attempts to figure out how to place the bag in the right position to effectively seal. The vacuum is sized appropriately and the bonus handheld sealer is compatible with my older Foodsaver fresh containers. The consumables and reusable bags included with the unit will keep me stocked for several months since I use it several times a week. A clear indicator mark or contrast color of the drip container along with a built-in bag cutter blade would make this a 5-star review.

This is not the first time we own a FoodSaver vacuum sealer machine. The previous machine still works well but since this unit was on sale so we decided to get one as spare. This FoodSaver is much the same as prior model and it works as intended. It pulls a vacuum and seals automatic with one button or stop the vacuum and seal or just seal with the seal button. Construction quality is good for home use as most components were made out of plastic but that do not compromise quality. It is the way to go if you don't want to worry about freezer burnt food. Yes, we highly recommend this product to anyone.

Not quite the product I wanted. Wanted the one that had the bag cutter so Id have straight cuts making it easier to sealer. Very compact (bags take up much more room than the actual sealer) easy to use and havent had a bag that wouldnt seal or came unsealed

Purchased this at the end of July because it was $30 off and I knew my old one was almost done for. Well, old one died yesterday and I pulled this one out of the box because I had just done up 15lbs of shredded chicken. When I tried to use it I got an error of flashing red on seal button. I let it sit for an hour and still flashed red and no vacuum or sealing. When I took it to the local Sams they said I could not exchange it and only get a refund, but if I want a new one I have to pay full price and not the original sale price. Unsat by both Sams and FoodSaver.

This one works so much better than the expensive one.

Food Saver would not power on and Sam's Club would only return, no exchange.
