I realized how much I’m saving by buying bulk so I continue to do the bulk shopping. Originally I was wrapping in plastic wrap & bagging it, squeezing the air out. But my food wasn’t lasting as long as I thought. I got the FoodSaver FM2000 Vacuum Sealer Machine with HandHeld Vaccum Sealer, Bags & Rolls, Bonus Pack, in the Black. I looked at it & said to myself this can’t be easier than wrapping & bagging! BUT IT IS! The Foodsaver is so easy to use. ( and fun) it is the smartest way to save food. My frozen meats look as red a month later as they did the day I sealed them. From big roast beefs to portioned sized ground beef. The money I’m saving buying in bulk & using the food saver is ingenious! And cleaning up is simple, with the drip tray. The hand held sealer is a game changer for chips, veggies & fruits. The big zip bags hold so much & then using the hand held to suck the air out really keeps everything fresh & crisp. Smartest way to store foods

I bought this machine with the intentions of saving my meat items from freezer burn. As soon as I received it, I read the manual and went to work sealing the items I had wrapped and frozen in zip lock bags. It was easy to do, I really enjoyed using the machine, worked like a champ.

We buy a lot of meat & other bulk foods from a warehouse store so I freeze a lot of stuff. And I am loving the Handheld Vacuum Sealer that is included for keeping refrigerated foods fresh. The instructions for both units are very easy to follow & they are both really easy to use. There are lots of bags included as well: 7 bags for the handheld sealer plus 2 rolls of bags & several quart and gallon bags for the FoodSaver. I love the rolls of bags because I can make custom-sized bags that are larger or smaller than the regular bags. The lights on top of the unit let you know when the sealing process has completed. I just wish this machine had a longer cord. My house is 70 years old with only one outlet at each end of my countertop so I either have to rearrange everything on my counter to plug this in or use an extension cord. A couple of extra feet would be really helpful for people in my situation. Otherwise, I love that this machine allows me to buy in bulk, then freeze smaller more convenient portions.

I like buying meat in bulk and this product helps me to divide it up and keeps it fresh in the freezer for longer periods of time. It works without any issues so far and is very user friendly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently ordered a food vacuum sealer by Food Saver. This vacuum sealer came with a bonus handheld vacuum sealer, several precut bags in multiple sizes and a couple of rolls of bags you can measure to size and seal. This model is easy to use and compact enough that I can place inside my cabinet when not in use. The hand held sealer is very easy to use. The kit included several bags made specifically for the hand held sealer. The bags have a plastic seal you mash closed at the top then place the hand sealer over the round vacuum port on the bag. It takes around a minute to suck the air out of the bag. This size sealer will come in real handy for when we go camping. The larger vacuum sealer has a lever on the right side that unlocks the lid so you can place your bag on the edge. There is a small removable tray that catches liquids. You can remove the tray to wash and then replace. Once my bag was in place, I lowered the lid and locked the lever on the right side and pushed the vacuum and seal button. Within a few mins my food was vacuum packed and sealed, ready for the freezer. This model also has a port for an optional accessory a hand held sealer with clip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] FoodSaver FM2000 Vacuum Sealer Machine with Handheld Vacuum Sealer is saving food and money every time I use it. It took some practice to get the hang of the machine, but once I did I was sealing all kinds of foods. Read the manual. My meats never looked so fresh in the freezer even after one week. It sucks the air out of the bags and then seals it. Has a removable drip tray to catch meat juices which keeps my countertop clean. I am able to store more in my freezer because my sealed bags take up less room. I have been sealing tomatoes before they get bad to be able to make salsa later. Since I buy my meats in bulk I have been able to seal portions and I know that it will stay fresh longer. Food stays fresh up to 3 years. I highly recommend to those who have been throwing out freezer burned foods and wasting money, this vacuum sealer machine saves you from all that food and money loss.

I just purchased the Foodsaver and have no idea how I’ve lived without it. I’m the only person in my home, along with my two pets. I mostly cook for myself. In the past I’ve passed up the great sales at my local meat market because buying in bulk is far too much for me, and it goes bad in the freezer waiting for me to use it. However with rising food costs I decided to purchase the Foodsaver, and I purchased a 10LB package of ground beef, and a bulk package of pork ribs, both at ridiculously low prices. This item is a gem! It works perfectly for my needs. I used a manual cutter to slice of my bags for my items and sealed one end, cut my ground beef into about 1Lb pieces, put them into the bags, smashed them down a bit, and used the vacuum/seal function. I marked the bags with date & deposited them into my freezer. It was that easy. I cut each slab of my ribs in half, cut my bag long enough to accommodate, and followed the same routine. Since I feed my small dog a quarter cup of human grade dog food per day, I’m constantly throwing it out before he can consume a whole bag. Now I can measure out a weeks portions, and freeze them until needed!! I highly recommend this item, and the fact that it came packaged with the rechargeable hand held device makes this that much better!!

My last foodsaver vaccum sealer would not work so I purchased another which works great so far. I registered it but I could not get it to allow me to enter the actual model number. Also, I could not download the actual online receipt either. It went through the motions but never worked for me.

It’s super simple to use, the pre-made bags are simple to just fill and go. The rolls make it simple to adjust the bags to what you need. It’s so simple, you cut, seal, stuff and vacuum. Done! I got 4 pounds of ground beef, 5 pounds of chicken breasts and 10 pork chops vacuum sealed and in the freezer in under an hour! The zipper bags are fantastic for cheese and deli meats, and with the hand held vacuum my son can even do it after making a sandwich! This has helped to cut down on my grocery bill!!!
