It has a great construction to it. And most importantly it seals and vacuums perfectly. I do a good bit of meal preping and this really helps keep my food fresh over the course of the week that i prep for. I love the handheld sealer too. It works great for resealing things on the go, and with food containers and jar sealers by the company.

It stops that freezer burns that you get by just putting the foods in plastic bags or wrapping it up in plastic wrap. This way you are able to keep your good frozen for a longer period of time. It states you cook keep fresh food 5 times longer. The hand held vacuum adds extra convenience by not taking up counter space, the hand held food vacuum uses the zipper bags that has a air vent to use the unit with. But that really makes it vey convenient for a easy was to vacuumed seal your foods. These Foodsaver bags comes in rolls too so you use what is needed the just cut amount needed and seal then fill bag and vacuum seal top. This vacuum sealer system it easy to clean , just wipe down I would highly recommend this FoodSaver system to all my family and friends.

I have been using FoodSaver for the past 15 + years (I presently own two of them). Love the product. Will not put anything in the freezer unless it is packaged with the FoodSaver. That includes vegetables from the garden and wild game that I harvest. I have given two away as Christmas gifts! I can't say enough good things about this product. But now it's just my husband and I, lm loving the handheld sealer more than ever. Everyday uses like cheeses and deli meats keep longer and I'm not throwing them out. I just LOVE it!!

This is our second foodsaver FM2000 vaccum sealer. We use it weekly. This item is just like our first. And. It saved us much time and money in the years we had it. We just wore it outwe guess, and hurried to get another one. Thank you for still offering it , as we can use all the extra containers from our first one with this new one.

I purchased a chest freezer to accommodate quantities of meat, poultry, and fruits and veggies from my garden. I wanted a vacuum sealer to prevent food waste. The FM2000 met the requirements I was looking for (easy setup/use/clean up; smaller profile for storage). I have used both the bags and rolls - all worked great! Everything from veggies (carrots, diced onions, zucchini, beets, green beans, asparagus, sweet potatoes, spinach, kale, snap peas); fruit (strawberry, blueberry, grapes); and meat (ground round, steaks, large roasts, and chicken breasts) - all were easily handled by the FM2000 and are looking great in the freezer (no freezer burn). The FM2000 is also great if you use the sous vide cooking method (just include your seasonings in the bag when you vacuum seal your meal).

It was a cheap piece of plastic which takes a bit of wiggling to remove from jar sealers and other accessories. Couldn't take it -- snapped in two like a dry twig. Also, the bag cutter will not cut when sliding right to left -- only left to right and not very well. Needs a lot of sharpening.
