This is my first time purchasing and using a food sealer. Everyone should use FoodSaver's vacuum and throw away those freezer bags.

The vacuum sealer machine is great however the hand held sealer doesn’t have the suction power at all. The hand held sealer is worthless.

I bought this item as a gift for my brother. There is no hand sealer in the package. Whenever they try and contact the company, they are put on hold. Very disappointed

I use to just put the items I wanted to freeze in a ziplock bag and throw it in the freezer, and it never seemed to taste the same as fresh. However, this machine keeps it looking fresh! It is super easy to use and it even comes with a mini hand held device for smaller batches! I’m obsessed!

I was a little leary because it sounds complicated, but it was actually super easy to use and the directions inside of the lid is a great idea for people like myself who immediately throw them away. This allows you to make your own custom size bags, or use one of their bags with the little hand held vacuum sealer. I'm not sure how expensive the plastic is so I'm not considering that into the rating, but so far the food is holding up extremely well in the freezer without damage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking at having to throw away a lot of meat before I got the Food Saver Vacuum Machine.It took a while to seal all of the meat,but it well worth it.the bags that came with it were a big help and the bags take up a lot less space.I'm really that I got the Food Saver,now freezer burn want be a problem.

This is a replacement for older, different brand, which was hard to use. It made my wrist hurt pressing down to seal foods. My new Food Saver is so easy to use, just close lid and press a button, much quieter than old one. I plan to buy for gifts.

Can't believe my experience with this machine could be so different from the reviews. Agreed with my Daughter to have her buy this as a Bday gift and am so sorry. Any small amount of debris or liquid keeps it from sealing. Not even my Bday yet, and I already hate this machine. First thing I tried to do is bag chile and it just wouldn't work, because of the liquid. Tried some boneless pork today and it just wouldn't suck all the air out of the bag. Not to mention how expensive the bags are. Can't tell you how many bags have been wasted trying to get this thing to seal properly. Also, unfortunately, like so many products these days, it's made in China. Piece of cheap Chinese crap if you ask me. Try another brand. Have a friend with an old Daisy Seal-a-Meal who gets liquid and debris everywhere and hers works just fine.

I have had this machine for 2 yrs now and I love it. I buy my meat and other foods in bulk and bring it home and separate it into portion size bags and then freeze it. In have a chest freezer that is always full thanks to this Food Saver FM2000. I like that when I am done with it I can just unplug it and put it on a shelf until I needed it again. I also have the rolls auto shipped so I never run out of bags. I highly recommend this little machine, especially if you don't have much space to store things and no counter space.
