Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge. The print life of Brother toner cartridges is based upon their ability to continue to achieve guaranteed print quality. If you choose to continue printing with the toner cartridge beyond its estimated print life, you may do so by enabling Continue Mode. Continue Mode will force the machine to continue printing after the "Replace Toner" message appears on the display or the Status Monitor indicates that the toner cartridge must be replaced. Go to our website, click Contact, and then click Support Center. Enter your model number to display information and FAQs for your product. Search for “Enable Continue Mode” in the FAQ section.
