We love this trash can. It is nice if you have you hands full to just swipe over it and the lid opens. My Grandson calls it the robot trash can.

Lid doesn't work

Lid hasn't worked well since we got it. It sticks open and you have to reset the lid to get it to open much too often.

Great Hands Free Trash Can

This is our second purchase of this automatic opening kitchen trash can. Never have to touch the lid. Makes it easy & especially nice when you’re hands are full. No fumbling to find a foot pedal either. Batteries last a long time too!

Disappointed

After reading some of these reviews, I guess my lid lasted longer than most. A little over a year. Started making weird noises and the lid stopped working on the large can. The small one still hanging in there.

Trash cans do not match!

The original picture showed the cans were matching...this picture does show that the cans are different. The small cans lid is open so you can’t see the top which is completely different from the large can.

Batteries

Based on the listed specifications, I ran out and bought D and C cell batteries. Unfortunately, the specs are incorrect. The larger unit runs on three C cells, the smaller on two C cells. So, I have a bunch of D cells that I have no use for. Will look forward to using these cans, anyway...as soon as I buy some more C cells!

Look nice, heavy, seem well made except for when tried to open battery compartment to install batteries the tab broke off (cheap plastic). Biggest complaint is if you walk by too closely or if our (large) dog walks by, it will open. Easy to open manually so you could turn it off unless cooking etc where would be most helpful to be on auto if needed.

works until warranty is up

I bought two of these and both of the lids stopped working after a year and no longer under warranty. I changed batteries, cleaned lids, applied wd40, everything I could think of and they refused to open more than an inch. If you only want your trash can to work for a year then buy it, otherwise I suggest buying something else.

both broken within a year!

I love how they these trashans look and the touchless opening system but the quality is poor. The small one quit opening after a few months of use and the large one quit opening after having it a year. both need to be opened manually now, which is a pain and I am searching for something new. Don't waste your money on these!
