Good build quality, and Quiet.

So this is my first time owning a decent sized generator, and I didn't want to skimp on quality. this generator has surpassed my expectations, it is very quiet (on my last camping trip I even had a few people ask me if it was running when it was). I have only used it twice so far since I bought it so I can't say much about the reliability but I know that Generac makes some good products, so it should last me a long time. It does have some good features, what I like the most is it has a digital readout for the fuel level so your not guessing. Overall a good product for what I need it for so far.

Off grid for 1 year

Due to Covid, I have been living off grid for about a year. I run my generator for 6 hours every 3 days in order to charge my lithium batteries, and it has met all of my expectations. The electric start is great, and I have only used the pull start twice, when it was well below zero. I would definitely buy again. My only concerns are for me, I find the fuel remaining display hard to understand and don't use it. My only other comment is that the spark arrester got supper dirty and clogged up to the point that it made the generator very hard to run. I removed mine and have not had any issues since.

Very Quiet As Advertised

I purchased this for the same reason as many others. I wanted a reliable power supply for my travel trailer. I also wanted something quiet so others wouldn't be annoyed at camping areas. Set up was simple. Connect the battery, put in the oil and gas and it is ready to go. Started right up and ran smooth and quiet. However, while running, I heard a slight vibration noise that didn't sound normal. After a little investigation I saw that one of the standing frame supports was cracked where it mounts to the base of the unit. (Access door side on the left) I'm certain this is not a manufacturing flaw, rather something that happened during the shipping process. I called the Generac customer support number (On a Saturday during a holiday weekend) and spoke with a very nice woman named Linda. She registered my product and informed me that this is something that would be covered under the warranty. She was able to get me in contact with a local authorized repair shop. I have since contacted them and they have the replacement part on order. Service after the sale is extremely important. I was pleasantly surprised how smooth this process has been to get the repair done.

Quiet, powerful and reliable - a dual fuel generat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The build is solid, everything looks professional and well thought out. Started up from the first time! What I was particularly pleased with is that it is very quiet, especially compared to other models. It doesn't rattle, doesn't scare the neighbors, doesn't disturb my sleep. You can safely turn on at night. The power is enough for the refrigerator, and for lighting, and for charging appliances at the same time. Works both on gasoline and propane - convenient when one of the options runs out. The digital panel is simple and straightforward, you can see everything: how many watts are being used, how much time is left - a complete sense of control. And yes, its weight (122 pounds) can be felt, but on wheels it rolls easily like a suitcase, not dragging with effort. In general Generac iQ3800 is peace of mind in any situation: blackout, going out with family, working remotely - it will not let you down. Beautiful, powerful, smart - I recommend it 100%. Yes, the Generac iQ3800 DF generator does support both gasoline and liquefied propane operation. This is confirmed by the model's official specifications - Dual Fuel: Runs on gasoline or liquid propane, providing flexibility in the choice of energy source. - Run time: up to 13 hours on gasoline and up to 16 hours on a 20-pound propane tank at 50% load. - Power: 3,000 watts in run mode and up to 3,800 watts when running on gasoline; 2,700 watts in run mode and up to 3,400 watts when running on propane.

Very quiet and easy to maintan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the iQ3800 for home backup during storms and weekend RV trips—and it’s been outstanding. It kicks out 3,800 starting watts (3,100 running) on gas or 3,420/2,790 on propane, giving me flexibility when fuel is tight. Despite its power, it stays impressively quiet, so I can run it overnight without bothering the neighbors. Built with a rugged steel frame and protected outlets, it’s held up to bumps and rough handling, and the Eco‑Mode™ engine control delivers smooth, efficient performance under varying loads. I love the electric start (with manual backup) and the Smart CO™ shutoff for safety. Routine upkeep is a breeze thanks to tool‑free access to the oil fill and air filter. For reliable, low-noise power and minimal maintenance whenever and wherever I need it, the Generac iQ3800 has been a fantastic, peace-of-mind investment.

The GP 3000i is super quiet and is a Smooth Runner

I just purchased my GP 3000i unit and it is great! I added the supplied oil, filled with 91 (no ethanol), turned the selector switch to Run, and honestly, the first pull started this little beauty. I ran it for 7 hours powering my fifth wheel (50-amp plug converted) and it ran flawlessly. When you turn the selector switch to OFF, it takes a minute or two to run the gas out of the line to shut it down, so don't panic, the switch does indeed work to shut it off. Thank you, Generac.

Awesome

I bought the IQ 2000. It was 1600 constant watts. I used it for my fishhouse. It ran my furnace fridge freezer, microwave no problem, not all at once, but my buddy had 2000 Honda , he had more trouble with his, mine ran great. I like the hour gauge on it to tell you how long u had before gas all gone. It was quiet running like 57 db just as quiet as 2 people talking. Heck yes I told my buddies about my generator, we fish with a group of 6. We all have generac generators IQ 2000. Couldn't be happier btw. No problem with it running in -30 weather either. That's a big bonus for me !!!!!!

Powerful and practical!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so happy with this generator! It takes up less space than I had anticipated and is easy to store. It weighs just over 100lbs. Living in an area prone to power outages and wildfires, earthquake threats etc, and caring for animals requiring me to access to power at all times, it is really practical for me to have this on hand! It delivers exactly what I need, performs how I want without excessive noise, and doesn't waste fuel, which is a bonus!

Lots of features

Starts and runs great. Very quiet. However, there is a slight “ticking “ or “ knocking” noise at times. Also it squeals when I plug in a 500watt ceramic heater. No squealing with a heavier load.hoping the noise goes away with use as we don’t have any Generac service in this area. I may take it apart myself. Otherwise I quite like it.
