It's a smart microwave.

Hi Neka, It’s important to have your microwave performing consistently, and we understand your concern about the door area becoming warm during cooktop use. When installed above a cooktop, heat from the burners can rise and warm the microwave’s exterior, especially at higher settings. Using the vent fan helps direct heat away. Easy to use large cacacity smart oven.
