The quality of Sam’s Club meat has declined over the last year and the beef tenderloins are included. Poorly trimmed. There is a thick layer of fat and silver skin on the filets. For the price, I would expect them to be expertly trimmed. I have been very disappointed in Sam’s Club”s meats. Are the butchers being told to prepare meat this way?

walk away now and don't look back unless you are prepared to never eat another kind of steak again! This is seriously the best steak we have ever had! This is so tender and juicy and doesn't even need marinating! Other steaks taste like shoe leather compared to this! We can't afford it much but we splurge every chance we get on this steak.

I have purchased these steaks many times and they have always been delicious. However my last purchase, in one package of 4, they all had a large layer of fat going entirely across the bottom where it was hidden from view. Probably an employee made the decision in an attempt to help the bottom line of the meat department. I would not have made this review except for the fact that it appeared an employee purposely left this excess fat on and hid it from view.

Sams must have the worst butcher and they intend to get over on you. Purchased 4 filets and there was over a pound of grizzle on two of the filets, basically I ended up with only 2 after all the fat and grizzle were cut away from being hidden in package.

The first time we had these, I started to tenderize with Adolph's, then realized the fork was sliding through to the cutting board practically under its own weight. Grilled to medium rare, these were a silky, melt-in-your-mouth treat with superb flavor and the perfect amount of fat. I honestly never thought I'd write a review about a hunk of meat, but I'm happy to spread the word. Fellow steak lovers, do yourself a favor and get thee to the Sam's Club meat department NOW!

Fat deposits inside meat.

These steaks are good but they are so overpriced it’s ridiculous.
