I was very disappointed with the fillets. They were not properly trimmed and they were not at all tender. At $25 per pound they should have been much better.

Sams strategically place the label on the worst steak in the 4 pack. Usually in a pack of 4 you get an end piece, so the value you are getting per lb is not what you think.

I don’t know why, but Sam’s almost always cuts these filets way too big! Once in awhile we can find a package of moderately sized filets, but very rarely! We don’t need 1/2 pound filets for two seniors! It’s ridiculous!

The side muscle is still attached and the silver skin around the edge is left on. The packaging stickers go over the part where it's noticeable - the guy working in the meat department actually told me that!

These steaks were not usable - they had almost 1/4 in heavy crusted fat on them and way too much fat for a tenderloin steak. I have always purchased my filet mignon steaks at SAMS but these were a total disaster, unfortunately.

The quality is a lot less than when we started buying Filet’s approximately one year ago. More grizzle and the cuts are not good - too many end cuts in each package too. So price per pound is now more for less quality.

For the price of those Tenderloins, I feel they have to much fat left on them when cut by the butclher and often it takes quite a bit to remove. The butcher should trim them better to deserve a better rating.

I usually really like Sam’s meat, especially the beef tenderloins, but these were very disappointing. They were not very tender and the flavor was not a good beef flavor. Given how expensive they are, I will not buy them again.

My plan was to get ribeyes but they were out so I tried these ones, they were expensive so I thought they’d be good too but not really, weird taste, gamy and hard to cook because they are too thick

These have a great flavor and are very tender. They cooked up nicely on the grill. The only issue was that one steak had some unchewable parts, but it was minimal.
