A real disappointment. Two of the steaks were tough and didn’t taste like filet. The other two were less tough but still didn’t taste like filet. I’ve purchased this many times before and it has been hit or miss lately.

They were okay, just a couple of minor things. One of the steaks had a little gristle on it, and i wish the steaks in the packages were more uniform in size. In this package, one steak (hiding under the price sticker, of course) was substantially smaller than the other 3... and it just happened that that was the gristly one, too. Generally speaking, though, they were fine.

Through the packing the steaks looked great, however, when we got them out to season there were two that had lots of gristle and fat that had been hidden from view. This was disappointing.

Meat was tough for a filet mignon

We've typically had good luck with this beef in the past. unfortunately this batch was tough and not as flavorful.Very disappointing because it wasn't cheap.

At a time when beef is not particularly budget friendly and I feel like some stores and restaurants may be passing lower cuts off as premium to help sales, I was very pleased with my purchase of filets from Sam’s. Those were the steaks you hope to get when buying premium meats. My next filets will come from Sam’s!

Way too much fat/ marbling for filets. It was hidden underneath so it can’t be seen. Very disappointing

I have purchased this type of meat in the past and have never had an issue with it. This meat was probably the worst I have ever purchased at a store. It was mushy and the texture was almost like it wasn't real meat

This “choice” package was in the “prime” section. I always buy the prime. It grilled up well but wasn’t quite as tender. We will enjoy it but will always check the label closer next time.

It was horrible. When I brought it home my wife looked at and said why did you buy this ! We broiled 2. Horrible and threw the other two in the garbage. I should know when it was the package displayed.
