The first question everyone asks is, how sturdy is it? If you want something that feels like it was built with 2x4s and 3/4 inch plywood, you will be disappointed. If what you want is something that has rigid sides and can be drug across the deck, I expect you will be satisfied for many years. I just assembled mine and could not be happier, especially for the price. The engineering is good, the instructions and labels are great, and the packing was secure. Mine will be on the deck, but I could see this box being used by the pool or even on a large pontoon boat. The only caution I would offer is to pick it up in the store rather than have it shipped. It is not heavy, but is large. Based upon the condition of some of the boxes in the store, I can see that this does not always ship well.

Bought 2 of these a few weeks ago for our pool area. Was fairly easy to put together (if you actually FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS). First one took just shy of 30 minutes. Second one took only about 20 minutes as I learned from my mistakes. :) One to keep cushions in, the other for pool toys. Have been through several storms and everything is nice and dry. Have had a few 90+ degree days and the lid has a tendency to "wobble" when really hot, but other than that I can find no fault in this product.

This is a decent storage box. Sturdy enough, but not "rugged" so you wouldn't want to have a lot of weight pushing on the insides of the box, or i think the sides might bow out. You could not sit on it, but you could use for serving table space, and it is more than tall enough for that. Perfect for storing pool floats, life jackets, etc. The 230 gallon is tall, so if you're short, you may not be able to reach into the bottom of the. It is 100% water proof in the rain, as it has been through several very heavy downpours, and it has stayed dry inside, so you could store beach towels in it with no problem. It is light and easy to move around. One person can easily drag it (it's too bulky to lift for one person, two can do it very easily.) The black definitely gets HOT in the sun, but that is to be expected. This is a BIG box so be sure you have a place in mind for it. I would suggest somewhere at the back of your space and out of the way. We moved it 3 times before settling on a final spot becuase it was so big and just captivated the space. I should probably give this 5 stars becasue it suits our use perfectly, but I'm giving it 4 just because it is a little bit "not-rugged" -- I don't want to say flimsy, because it it not flimsy, it's pretty sturdy, just... ...not rugged! As far as the assembly, it was easy to put together if you are a practical person and can use the instructions as a guide. Be careful with the screws and using a power drill, it is easy to strip the threading of the plastic that they screw into.

I have purchased 8 of these to help with my decluterung project and for Holiday decorations They are easy peasy to assemble and quite sturdy. I am on my way to having the most organized yard, in the neighborhood, bc of these boxes. The only issue is that rain water resides on the top and in the grooves of design. I bought clear shower liners to eliminate this issue. I am getting a couple more for gifts, a great value at Sam's club.

I ordered this online and picked up at my favorite Sam's location. The reason I purchased was to convert it into a dog house. The instructions aren't great. You have to figure it out like a puzzle. Once assembled, it's pretty sturdy. My husband cut out an opening on one side. We are happy with our purchase and so are the dogs. They didn't waste any time getting inside to get out of the cold, rainy weather.

bought this thinking that its going to be a good source of storage but definitely disappointed with the finished product. The assembly was done as per instruction but the locking system does not work at the bottom or hold in place. I had to apply a lot of pressure but still it did not lock, I have to keep it because I do not have a truck to return it to the club very very disappointed. The picture shows the bottom bed of the storage unit. where is there a gaps on all 4 side hence moisture can seep in when stored out doors.

Bought one for my daughter in November. She loved it! Bought her a second one in December. After they had the box mostly assembled, they noticed several of the panels are cracked. No problem, Sam's takes returns and MANDATES you return the product. My daughter had to build a GIANT BOX out of multiple other cardboard boxes to return the giant deck box. She is several months pregnant with other young children and had to take the children's car seats and vehicle seats out of her van so she can haul this box to Fed Ex. But it's oversized. So now multiple calls to Sam's to try and figure out how we can ship this broken deck box back to Sam's Club who insists on getting the product back before they will issue a refund. When you call customer service, you get people from other countries. I understand policies because some consumers take advantage of retailers, but this is BEYOND RIDICULOUS! CHECK ALL PANELS CAREFULLY before building your deck box! I intended this to be a nice Christmas gift, not a nightmare for my loved ones!

I love this box. I can fit four large seat cushions, four back cushions and multiple throw pillows with room to spare! This will make me cushions last so much longer since they're not being exposed to the elements. My only comment is that the "white" box is not really white.

This deck box is massive. My husband said "it's so easy to put together" and he thinks it's good quality.  I can't wait to use it and store all the things inside. Beach chairs, corn hole, umbrella, cushions, etc.  I think it's big enough to use for trash cans and recycling storage too. I might have to get another.

I purchased one of these in North Dakota. We have outside,with the cold weather and snow it cracked. I have contacted customer service for two months with no calls back just text messages telling me customer service will get back to me. (I wanted to purchase a new front to replace the cracked one). Still to this day no call back. I even asked them for a phone number which they didn’t respond to. KETER customer service I’m still waiting!!!!!
