Basically okay, but the #1 does not work very well. Unfortunately, that is part of my code. Also, I can't change the code because it only gives you 5 seconds to put in your code and it takes the #1 longer than that to register. Kind of a bummer, because I know eventually, the #1 is going to quit working all together. At that point the safe becomes useless.

I purchased the safe in order to protect our valuables while we had some renovation work done here. While it is possible to pick the safe up and use a dolly to wheel it out (unless a person is strong enough to carry it), it does have a feature for an alarm to go off if the safe is moved. For the money, it does provide a better level of security.

Purchased the safe to replace a competitive safe that was near 40 years old and was getting different to open. The SFW123TTC is an excellent replacement. It was easy to setup and has an alarm function. It also has a gasket to provide a strong seal for the contents. I am very pleased with the purchase and considering purchasing another one.

This was a replacement for basically an older model of the same safe I do like the digital keypad is back lit and there is an interior light which is a big improvement of the older model. Having said that I can't complain about the older Sentry safe it done it's job for over 10 years before the keypad got to were it wasn't responding. If I get the service out of this one I got for your last one I have no complaints.

I bought this safe to replace the one that I had another Sentry which was combination. It is so easy to use that my wife now can open and place valuables in there. I like the idea that it has a light to illuminate what is in there. In addition to the factory combination you can add two other combinations of your choice.

The cost of the safe is very affordable compared to safes of similar size, although so goes the old adage... You get what you pay for. If you do not need to get into your safe often, this is likely a fair purchase. I am concerned that the handle will not hold up to continuous use. The handle to open the safe is made of plastic and has a lot of play in it almost as if its about to break off. The action on the movement is not smooth and after I enter my code and pull to unlock it sticks so, i have to pull it pretty hard to get it to open. This leads me to believe its only a matter of time before a good tug, necessary to open, will end up breaking the handle. Another issue is that the digital keypad is very finicky. You need to tap on it to get it to awake from sleep mode. I have tried light taps, hard taps, firm press, slow push, rapid taps and no one motion seems to do better than another to get the keypad screen to wake. Another issue is that, it is also finicky about the battery used. The notes state that only Alkaline batteries should be used. I purchased, Duracell Quantum "Our most advanced Alkaline" thinking that I would get better life from them, but they didn't work at all in it. All in all, if you don't need to access your safe more than a couple of dozen times a year, the safe should hold up to the use and will be sufficient for the price paid.

The Safe is great itself but the touch pad is horrible. I have to keep touching it for a good minute over and over until it finally lights up to enter in the code. I’ve tried various batteries, pressure of touch. It’s a brand new safe right out the box so I’m very disappointed that it doesn’t work without any issues. I called the number on the safe… it’s a no servicing number. I hope someone sees this and gets it resolved for me. It cost way to much money to not function properly.

This is the perfect size to hide away while providing fire and water protection. I love the inside light and digital keypad. This model does not have separate physical key and I was concerned if the battery went out being locked out. However, Sentry safe solved this issue with an external battery connection that could be utilized to provide power to the keypad.

We purchased this safe so we would not need a safety deposit box at our bank as we mostly had non-negotiable documents kept there. The size is perfect for what we need. It was easy to set up and program the various features. I have not bolted this to the floor, not sure it is needed. At a home safety and security seminar, a local deputy said bolting it is probably not needed as a thief would not carry a safe out of the house. This safe meets our needs at a reasonable price.
