Buy It At the Store if you must
this review is about the purchase experience only. i ordered this online and the initial delivery date was supposed to be 2 weeks. a day before my scheduled delivery, they email me and tell me my date has been pushed back another 3 weeks. i've already requested off and can't recover the day. contacted customer service and they won't guarantee that my date will change again. never a manager available when i ask. every time i contact chat services it's a different reason why i can't get a manager (one rep maryelis told me all the supervisors are in a meeting with the managers and she can't get one for me) supposedly they'll call me back in 24-48 hours. avoid ordering online at all cost. this will be my last time.

So far so good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After about three weeks since delivery, everything appears to be working as described. The refrigerator is a nice looking side by side stainless steel appliance. We originally ordered the black stainless refrigerator but after becoming aware of several complaints of peeling we changed to regular stainless.
Less than 2 years old and compressor went out
This is the second Samsung I have owned that the compressor went out after only a couple of years. The current one is less than two years old and the replacement parts aren't available anymore so I have to replace it. Very disappointing because it was actually a nice refrigerator.

Ice maker is awful
We've had this refrigerator for roughly 3 years. The ice maker has been terrible from day one. The ice doesn't come out of the tray which causes leakage inside the freezer which ices up and them jams up the ice maker. We've had to thaw everything out several times and have finally just turned the ice maker off to avoid the ice all over the inside of our freezer. In addition, the ice maker has always been extremely slow. Takes forever to get a cup of ice. Also, there is no light on the outside, so when filling a cup at night, youre doing it blind. Extremely poor design. Would not buy again.

Another broken Samsung icemaker.
this fridge replaced one that died, the was also samsung and years before the whole thing died the ice maker died, we were buying bags of ice for years. it was a relief to finally have a working ice maker again, until after only a year or so this icemaker started to suffer similar problems. we specifically got a side by side with the ice maker in the door so as not to have the same ice maker as the previous one, but the new one started to leak into the chute and we had to chip away ice constantly, it was overfilling the ice cube tray until it leaked, with no way to fix it. it kept leaking until the chute is a solid ice block. we can't defrost it and start over because we would lose our entire freezer contents. i can't advise everyone enough to not buy any samsung fridge with an ice maker.

Good owners Manual
i like the non protruding door handles. they give a clean line appearance. comes with a thin protective film around the front which i found difficult to remove. in my experience this film is firmly attached under the door gasket and tears away leaving behind fragments. the manual gives clear instructions. for example, to change the water filter you will first turn off your water supply valve. after a simple twist and pull of the old filter you insert the new filter and twist. the manual then suggests a 7 minute water line purge. i like the special setting to have 3 days of accelerated cooling. my experience is that all food has remained chilled or frozen.

Everything needed and no gimmics
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great refrigerator! The multi levels of cooling ability help to keep my items fresh. One issue is that the vegetable or meat drawers don't have an adjustment. Sometimes I find my vegetables frozen.
DO NOT BUY
bought the refrigerator 5/3/2020. after two months the ice maker froze up. had to thaw it out. then the freezer was causing freezer burn on everything. after about 6 months the ice maker froze up again. we figured out you can’t do the crushed ice. can only do regular. very disappointing since one of the reasons we bought it was for the crushed ice. on 5/25/2021 refrigerator and freezer go out completely. only had for one year. bought the extended warranty on it. it is now 6/18 and the issues to get it fixed is ridiculous. i do not recommend this.

Beautifully Sleek with lots of space
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very happy with our new Samsung side-by-side refrigerator. It's a really big fridge in terms of storage space. I'm really happy about the depth and how much I can fit on each shelf. In addition, the door has 4 shelves that allow me to house my many bottles of dressing, sauces, marinades, etc. Each shelf is large enough to fit a gallon of milk and I was really happy to see that they didn't bother with an egg carton or butter flip top shelf like my old refrigerator had - it was a waste of space IMO. The freezer has a lot of storage too but not as many shelves in the door because of the ice maker. The ice maker sits inside in the door and appears relatively small in terms of how much ice it can hold. It has one drawer at the very bottom. The All-around cooling works very well. After delivery, we were able to load food into it after only a couple hours. And I LOVE the inset handles on the doors! So sleek and pretty!
Great Refrigerator.

Did not feel my last fridge was small but was amazed when we transferred contents on how much bigger this was in the same space as the other. Only complaint is the ice freezes in the dispenser and gets jammed. Need to call Samsung on that. Plenty of ice though.
