Looked at a few trash cans in stores and decided to look on-line before making a purchase. I was delighted to find this duo at a price that was far more reasonable than many single kitchen trash cans. We did not want to take up precious under the counter space for a trash can, and this slim-line, automatic model is a very attractive alternative that we have been delighted with. I was not thrilled with NineStar's gaudy silver logo shining up on the top of the smaller trash can, but my clever husband made it virtually disappear by spray painting it black to match the top of the can. Also, the site originally listed a fairly quick delivery date. After I placed the order, the date for the site to store delivery was given as a whole week later. We weren't happy about that, but were willing to deal with it since it seemed like a good value. I am delighted to say that the product was delivered to our local WalMart by the first date posted!

This Trash Can is awesome. I am glad that I read the reviews and was told to get batteries first. It shipped faster than expected which was nice and was in great condition. Both trash cans have been terrific. I use the little one in the bathroom which is so much nicer Would definitely purchase again

This use to be my favorite trash receptacle. The first one I got didn't work properly the automatic top that is. I sent it back and the sent a replacement. The replacement item barely worked for 2 months and seems to have a short somewhere. If you tap the top it works some times. The price you pay for this product it should work for years. Like my first one did. That is why I decided to buy the same replacement item when mine finally just wore out. It lasted for over 7 years. So I would normally be raving how great this product is. I would still buy this product but be cautious. It seems to be hit or miss not expected that it will last for years. Give it a try though.

Purchased this trash can because I thought it is so cool. Only used it for a little over a week and now the lid is stuck in the up right position. It states on the lid to look at the instruction manual in order to trouble shoot the problem but there is not one mention of how to fix the problem. I also researched online to try and fix it with no luck. It is back in the box with the receipt ready to go to Walmart for a return. I never even got a chance to open the smaller can. Figure it will do the same thing. Going back to the regular much less expensive trash cans.

These two trash bins look great and are working well so far, but I've only had them for a week. I was worried that the large one would open every time anyone walks by, but that doesn't happen. I read one review that says the bins need to be in bright light to work properly, but I haven't had that problem. I gave 'durability' an average rating only because I haven't had enough time to see how well these work in the long run.

Very good product of good quality that makes your life easier. Very good color combination for the kitchen and bathroom of my apartment. It has a very sensitive sensor, when the mosquitoes pass the lid opens. I don't know how long the batteries can last but everything else I love.

I love these trash cans cause they look good and they are great when you have your hands full and all you have to do is wave you hand over the eye and it opens. They are great. I have told my family about them and they want them too. The only little problem I have is that in the little trash can they need to do something with the handle as you are unable to put a trash can liner in it. Just don't put anyhing wet in it or you will have to clean it every time

In the description of this product, it mentions that it controls odors. I specifically ordered this trashcan in order to control odors and eliminate our fruit fly problem that our open older trashcan proliferated. Everything about this trashcan met my expectations except for the odor control. It is just slightly better at it, is all. The open and shutting mechanism works fine, even though it can be a little glitchy at times, it looks great in the kitchen, is easy to set out of the way, and b/c I am a cleaning nut, I have no problem maneuvering the lid out of the way when necessary. Simply put, I am sick of fruit flies, and living in South GA the warm moist weather encourages them. This trashcan just didn't eliminate them.

Love my Nine Star motion sensor touchless trash cans, my hands are often full when I reach for the trash can and than realize I need to open the lid .... now as soon as I get close the lid opens wide so I can drop in what ever is in my hands! Love it, especially in the kitchen. (The grandkids love it too, now they can't wait to finish their juice box, so they can throw the box away in grandma's magic trash can)

I like the trash cans because I don't have to lift the lid each time I want to discard anything. It is taller than my other garbage can and the lid doesn't take up as much area to open since it is under an overhang of my countertop. When the bag is full, you don't have to take it out to fill it rest of the way up, it's ready to be taken out. The only thing I didn't like is that when it arrived, there was a big hole in the side of the box and a dent in the side of the large trash can. I was able to pop the biggest one out, but it still has 2 small dents in it.
