Had a hard time finding what I wanted in store-- ended up ordering this on line. Thought it was a pretty good deal for two trash cans. Shipping was free- that helped! So far love them , look good, work fine. I am using the large one in the kitchen and the small one in the bathroom.

The price is excellent. The larger can is perfect for kitchen use. A air freshener inside the lid would be a plus though. The smudge proof stainless steel exterior is a definite plus. The material the lids are made of is less sturdy than I would have expected, but as long as they are not manually handled, they should last. The small can could have been larger but it is great for small bathrooms. If my family were larger, I would be concerned and probably would look for something bigger. I have only had for about two weeks but so far, so good.

It’s quick and reliable so far.

My main reason for purchasing these trash cans was to keep my dog out of the garbage. The larger one serves this purpose perfectly. The smaller one is so low to the floor that he is able to get his nose over the sensor and open it. It seems to have deterred him though, I think maybe the lid came down on his snout and scared him. Now for the functionality. The sensor is more sensitive than I had hoped. I have a small kitchen and little space to put a trash can. Every time I walk by it, the lid goes up. This is a little annoying but more so, I think the battery life will suffer. It would be great to have a sensitivity adjustment. I would definitely recommend this product. I would also recommend that Nine Stars do something to adjust the sensitivity.

The can is very nice. Has a great look and getting the little can was a great value but the lid on the big can stopped working after about a month. I opened the lid to empty my vacuum cleaner basket and after I took out the basket the lid wouldn't go back down. We changed the batteries, cleaned the lid but nothing would get it working again. The little can is working fine.

I bought this item and am very unhappy with the location and design of the battery holder and the cover. The cover clips in and is loose, the batteries fall out of the springs so that it doesn’t work. Last night the cover and batteries fell off, unbeknownst to me, into the trash bag. The trash went to the curb and now we don’t have the cover or the brand new batteries. Very poor design. While it would be a bit of a pain, a better design would be to have the battery cover secured with screws. The motion sensor no longer works without the battery cover to hold the batteries in which makes the can useless.

I think that I am going to like this trash can it seems to be more sturdy than the previous one that I purchase from this same company. I gave it an average because I'm a little cautious since the last one that I bought just stop opening up. I did not have it for a year and I just said it out in the garage. The batteries lasted longer than the trash can because I did not have them installed in the new trash can. This one cost a little more than $10 more so I'll see how it lasts. But I wasn't happy spending over $60 for a trash can that didn't last year so I'm sending a picture of the new one and the old one

I just purchased this auto open trash can that I use in the kitchen. What I like is that when my hands are full of trash, I just wave my full hands or elbow over the lid and it pops up! Easy to use. There is also a button to push on the top that will leave the lid up should you need that. Then, push the second button to manually close. The second, little trash can works the same way. I tried it under a dressing table that was too low to allow the lid to work so was placed in an open spot. They look nice, work well and were a good price.

Though it is nice and sleek looking, unfortunately it seems as it’s made of a thin aluminum and can be bent easily with an accidental bump. Actually received a bent one but I was able to bend it back, just didn’t want the hassle or returning for a new one as it might the in the same physical condition. Overall, it’s ok but not good. The automatic door works but there are times you have to have to wave at the sensor 2/3 times before it opens, and closing was a bit too fast too. Just make sure you put the trash in within 5 secs or it’ll shut on you quick. Overall, I gave it a 2 stars because of how it’s thinly made and how the operations on the auto door shut/close.

Everyone needs to purchase these trashcan. Not only do they look good, the ease of using them is fabulous. I love the feature of fingerprint resistant on the surface so they always look clean. All the words that need to be said are, Wow, Fabulous and must have.
