I was totally disappointed on this meat. The flavor wasnt that "spiced" to the degree I had to add tons of seasonings. I noticed on the wrapper it stated to add your favorite bbq sauce. I wanted to taste the meat before adding the sauce. I finally converted 1/2 of the package to pork tacos, with grilled onions, peppers and all your typical mexican seasonings. It helped, but again I didnt like it as a pulled pork meat, to have bbq sauce added to it

Bought to just give it a try. Package says about under an hr for cool time. I ended up having to cook for over an hr. No biggie, just glad I started it earlier than usual. I think it is very tasty even without adding my own sauce, which is always a goal. Very pleased & will purchase again. Only 4 stars for the unexpected long cook time.

She tried this brand and also Jack Daniels Pulled Pork. The goey fatty Jack Daniels tasted like crap. It was full of fat and just plain terrible. Sam's club brand was much better with only a bit of chewy chunks. Although I'll never buy the Jack Daniels Pulled Pork again, I will purchase this again.

I stopped buying this a couple years ago because there were a lot of fat chunks in it that grossed you out. Nice flavor. Many reviewers complain that there is no bbq flavor. Package clearly states Add your own sauce. Had a friend get one for me recently and it had less fat. So I will be giving it another try. Great on nachos.

Took a chance on this one because the Jack Daniels, that I usually buy, had gone up by a couple dollars. Joke was on me because this package is 2 lbs while the Jack Daniels is 3 lbs and the sauce is already included. Also this one had a lot of fat to it.

I love pulled pork & had high hopes for this since the reviews were decent & the pic on the package looked good. However, I was pretty grossed out when I opened it up and saw huge chunks of fat, and lots of nasty bits and wads of gristle, connective tissue, and the gnarly bits that I've never seen anyone leave in meat before in there that I would definitely pick out before serving it to my family or anyone else. In fact, from each serving that I have gotten out of it-- at least ⅓ up to ½ has been nasty chunks that i've had to give to our dog or just toss in the trash. I've given it 2 stars b/c it does have some good meat in there, but there is SO much other nasty stuff that I've paid for along with the good stuff. The price is fair IF you're getting all good meat, but when there is an incredible amount of nasty bits, the price per pound of usable meat goes up significantly. This is the first time I've gotten this, so I don't know if i got one that slipped past quality control or if this how it usually is. Don't waste your money.

This used to be a fairly good product. The last one I got was a little questionable. The one I bought Thursday was one of the most disgusting pork products I have ever prepared. We just threw out the whole tray and are ordering a pizza. It was inedible. I am fairly sure the vast majority of this was "pork product" and not pork shoulder. Absolute disgust.

I didn't read the reviews of this before I bought it. I should have and saved my money. This is the wierdest pulled pork I've ever run across. I don't know how they cook this, but it was underdone, as in not falling apart like real pulled pork should. Half the pieces were tough with gristle - clearly not slow smoked for hours. The taste was salty, but otherwise bland with no smokiness. It was edible in a sandwich with a load of BBQ sauce, but that's it.

This used to be SO good but something has changed. The last 2 times we’ve tried this it has been full of gristle, doesn’t taste smoked and has a horrible spoiled smell and taste. Can’t even cover the terrible taste with bbq sauce. Won’t be purchasing again!

I got this because it was cheaper than the package of carnitas... this was garbage. It was somehow over cooked AND uncooked. Like Grandma left in the oven at thr wrong temp for too long. We forced our way through a few servings, different ways, but had to COOK IT and doctor it up. No, just... no.
