[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While my mother-in-law was in hospital for pneumonia, her Dr. told her she needed to drink Ensure a couple times a day. She has severe COPD. She don't have an appetite, and lost weight. She is down to about 85 pounds. So, since she don't have an appetite much drinking Ensure helps putting at least something in her body. Her brother, which has a feeding tube, Ensure is the only meal he gets. St. Elizabeth Hospital,in Edgewood, is wonderful for introducing Ensure to their patients, and gives it to them while in hospital. Their doctors also recommend it to patients once they do go home form. Thank you Ensure for being a fantastic drink that does have good benefits to patients, and sick people

And both being on disablity, we seams to give a boost to our days when not enough vitamins are being taken in. We love to freeze a spoon like a frosty shake, yummy.

It sure would have been nice if the label told me there was caffeine in these, I am allergic and have had a terrible couple of days as a result. I had dental surgery and thought this was going to help as my meal replacement, instead, it made things much worse. Since it is hard for him to process regular food, a shake like Ensure is extremely helpful for a cancer patient. He has gained 2 pounds so far, and his skin is starting to glow as if he is getting healthier!

I still drink it at breakfast every day and usually mix it half and half with whole milk. I have been able to maintain my weight with this schedule drink along with one scrambled egg, toast and sausage link. With it I feel sure I am getting all the vitamins I need.
