I've been purchasing apple turnovers from the Sam's Club on Woodmen location on a regular basis. In the last several purchases, however, I start biting some hard substances in the turnovers in consistent manner. These small pieces look like parchment paper bits except much thicker, almost like thin plastic. Can't tell exactly what it is, but one thing for sure is that these are not consumable. At one point, I stopped purchasing these turnovers, but when I recently went back to purchasing these after a few months, the same substances were found. Never purchasing these again.

I buy these every time I go to Sam's. They're always so good, but this time is the last time I buy them. I always inspect bakery items before I buy, no matter where I purchase them. These looked great, no suspicious spots on them anywhere and they were fresh. Then halfway through one my husband saw mold on the INSIDE! That was it, no more bakery anything from Sam's

Used to love these, as well as the cherry. The last 2 we received were extremely chewy, and hard to eat. No light and flaky layers. Dough was very tough, even after warming them up. Fruit was just okay. Pains me to say it, but we won't be wasting our money on these again. Had to throw out the remaining ones.

Very excited to find these apple turnovers. Just had one, but there were no apples In the turnover, just a very small amount of “sauce” The bread was sweet but disappointed About the apple. I am hoping to find at least One or two in this pack of 8 has apples. Would not buy again, unless I can actually see apples in the filling.

Addicting. If you have a history of addictions, call your sponsor before buying. ;} Like the cherry better than the apple, but cherry is very hit-or-miss at our location, mostly miss, so usually end up with the apple. "Necessity" purchased virtually every trip, except when Sams is totally out.

The package that I bought today didn't have a flaky crust, it was slightly soft and tough. Also there was hardly enough apple filling to taste. A lot of tough crust wrapped around a spoonful of apple filling just doesn't make a good turnover. Normally the pastries from Sam's bakery are good but these were disappointing.

Overall okay, unfortunately some dough felt raw it was thick on both sides of the filling. Too much spice for me felt more like pumpkin spice, wish it could be a little lighter on spice but if u like spice this is for you won't buy again but love the variety of bakery good sams carries.
