We've bought these apple turnovers several times and always enjoy them. They have a nice balance of tart and sweet and make a great breakfast or dessert. I do wish the filling had a few more actual chunks of apple in it, but overall they're very good. We've generally been really happy with the items from our Sam's Club bakery and these are no exception.

Turnovers were fresh & delicious 😋 And even better, they were $3.98 for 8 turnovers! A $2 savings at Sams. Would have cost me twice as much anywhere else for sure...

I've bought these several times, which means I like them a lot. They only lost a star because the plastic container makes them less flakey, and more apple wound be a bonus. They have a good flavor, and are sweetened just right. A very good price, especially when they are sale. You won't be sorry.

Right out of the box, the turnovers are dense, dry, and chewy, with not a lot of apple flavor. Popping them in the air fryer for a few minutes was revolutionary. Airy, crisp, distinctive layers, and just enough apple filling to be flavorful without gushing everywhere. Watch them like a hawk though, or the tops will burn.

Great... if you are going to use them up quickly. I found these on sale and they were a great! But the second time I bought them, they sat for a few days longer and got soggy. With the 4 I have left I will have to try reheating them in the oven to try crisp them up. If that doesn't work, I won't buy them again.

These were for my card club, and everyone was very excited about having them as a snack. There were many comments about Sam's turnovers being the best around. I had never tried one before. ​The taste was very good, but there was almost no filling inside mine. I would like to think that was just an unusual batch. People don't rave about something unless it's truly good, so I may have purchased some that had production issues, with the sale price being the producer's way of clearing them out. ​I have noticed that when items are on sale, manufacturers are sometimes more likely to offer less-than-perfect products (like overcooked foods or empty single-serving packets). I'll probably buy these turnovers again when they aren't on sale to give them another chance, but it would be nice if Sam's policy didn't allow factory seconds, even at a discount.

flaky, cooked to perfection. only issue is where are the apples? hardly any apples very disappointing that they used so little of the apples, since it is APPLE turnovers. mostly dough very little apple. as an previous restaurant manager I understand that CORP can pressure managers to lower food cost, but anymore and they will just be dough turnovers. Why do these corporate officers forget that this is where their money comes from. They squeeze and squeeze the managers till the product is no longer worth the purchase to customers. sales drop and then they blame the managers again, when in reality they were the downfall of the product.

A lot of bread very little fruit

I recently tried the Sweet 'n Tart Apple turnover, and it was a disappointment. Despite the name, the turnover wasn't sweet at all, and the flavor fell completely flat. The filling lacked both sweetness and tartness, leaving it bland and unbalanced. The pastry itself was doughy and soft instead of flaky, and there wasn't enough apple filling to make up for the lack of flavor. Overall, it didn't deliver what the label promised, and I wouldn't buy it again.
