I bought these turnovers yesterday. The date code was from the previous day. They were soft not flakey. I was disappointed. I will not buy these again.

almost every single thing I get from Sam's club is awesome everything even though the price is low it's great this not worth the price barely a thin layer of filling not enough filling to cross ratio It's just bad

Ive purchased these for years. My go-to semi-sweet treat. They used to be filled with a good amount of filling. Not overstuffed but just enough. Over the last 2 months, I've noticed the apple filling has significantly decreased and isn't as flavorful. It's now 95% pastry and 5% filling. I guess the production cost caused the change. Very disappointed!

I would describe the first turnover "memory of apple" with some liquid filling, but no solid apple component. The second one I ate could be called "hint of apple" and had one 1/4"x1/2" apple bit and some liquid filling, In both, approximately 75% of the middle was air and just 25% consisted of filling. The filling is tasty, but the skimpy amount is simply too stingy to buy again. The crust was fresh and tasted okay. My brother-in-law ate one and had a good burp from all the air inside.

Bought this a week ago. Should just be called a "Turnover"... There is a reason that it's only 200 calories. It would be a higher count if it had apple filling inside. (Being sarcastic.) If ANY of the turnovers had had more than a teaspoon, I would have been happy....But I'm NOT!!

I doubt if ½ slice of apple was used for the entire box of 8. I think I tasted one ¼" square piece of apple in every third turnover. after cooking, or course, it was minuscule. They aren't garnering new customers with this product. Apples aren't expensive. no excuse for this. I wondered why I got a survey right after getting home from shopping. unfortunately, I had not opened up this package yet. They are permanently off my shopping list. Too bad, as I have a BNB.

These turnovers are the best. Great flavor, lots of filling, and love the larger pieces of sugar on top. My parents always bought these when they went to Sam's and got my family started on them too. Apple turnovers are one of my favorites and bring back so many memories from childhood. We buy these when we are craving something sweet and fruity. Perfect addition to breakfast or as a snack.

It's not that I'm even some kind of major apple nut ... but these are so yummy that I try not to get them every trip but most times they find their way into my cart, and my friends will ask me did you get some of those apple turnovers again ... and I try to buy the longest date I can because it's just me most of the time. The calories are reasonable for what you get and they are fresh and just scrumptious - I promise. And oh the crunchy sugar on the top?? Extra treat.

These apple turn overs are best when eaten the very same day they're made, otherwise the puff pastry is stale. Also, I wish there was more apple filling inside of them, and not just the tiny amount in them now. Cutting back on essential ingredients in food preparation, and sacrificing quality, is not the way to cut costs. People notice immediately, and will not buy product!

I recently got these, both me and the rest of my family were horrified. The front two turnovers were fresh and fine. But tonight my husband went to get one, and while eating it was horrified to discover mold. And not a small amount either. It honestly makes me question buying any other baked goods from this store.
