Purchased my last set of 4 Duracell GC2's back in 2008 (!) for our 32 ft Fleetwood Southwind RV. TEN YEARS LATER, they just gave up the ghost. Of course I water them every two weeks and have 260 volts of solar panel juice on the roof here in sunny Southern California to keep them always fully charged. This allows us to boondock and use all of the motorhome's appliances all day long (except AC) and have enough power left over at night to watch full sized TVs with satellite boxes (2 ea) and a CPAP machine for sleep. 430 amp hours is a lot of power for the money.

I bought four of these less than two years ago and they are no longer any good. In defense of the battery I have bought many of these over the years (golf cart uses six and RV uses four) and have had solid luck. The four I bought in the Spring of 2015 are all bad...used two different chargers plus the coach charger and they all read bad. The use on these batteries was fairly low and I typically kept them charged even when not in use. They stopped taking a charge late last year with an error reading on my inverter. Super disappointed! I even removed them from the coach and tried to individually charge them multiple times with two different chargers. I'll buy a different brand now!

For the price these are very good batteries. No they are not Trojans but they dont cost as much as a Trojan and the dont have the special charging requirements of a Trojan. For long battery life you must properly charge AND periodically equalize charge. I use 4 of these batteries in series parallel in an RV. That means 2 of them are connected together in series to form a 12 volt battery and then those two 12 volt batteries are connected in parallel (+ to + and - to -). I My charger goes to about 14.8 volts and an equalize charge goes even high. If you are using these in your golf cart and it's a 36 volt cart you will see charge voltages of about 45 volts. A 48 volt cart using 8 of these would see around 60 to 62 volts. Read up on sulfation, stratification, equalization and know how to properly charge and care for any battery or even the best will be ruined. If you do buy Trojan's research what voltage they want that particular battery charged to as you may need a new charger to do it properly.

Great Golf Cart battery. Average life in my carts are about 6 years. One of the best thing I like about this battery is that there is about 2 inches of water above the lead. Most golf cart batteries I had have to be checked constantly because just a little evaporation of the acid and the lead is exposed and causes damage. These Duracell's can go 3-4months between fills before the lead gets exposed.

I use these batteries as the battery portion of my off-grid Solar power system. Though they are not the same quality as the batteries choosing 4x as much, the do a good job for me at a lower cost. I never discharge my batteries past 50% state of charge which helps the longevity of your batteries. People who drain their batteries past 50% week drastically shorten the life of their batteries no matter how much they cost or who makes them. These are good batteries for their cost. An inexpensive way to get started with an off grid lifestyle.

I have had these in my electric golf cart for just over 2 years and my neighbor has had them for 4 years in his electric cart. Neither of us have ever had a problem with them. We put a lot of miles on our carts...well over 50 miles per weekend driving through the trails in the woods up north. Same with any battery...keep up on the maintenance and the batteries will take care of you. They are not Trojans so the charge might not last as long as high-end cart batteries but it lasts us all weekend and we have no complaints. During the winter I charge the cart once a month on the 1st of the month to keep some juice flowing through the batteries.

i purchased 6 batteries for my golf cart in nov 2008.. after 5 years they started getting weak.. did desulfurization w/ epsom salt and they lasted another 3 years.. getting weak again. will do desulfurization again. f it doesn't work, will buy another set.. moved to house w 60 ac in 2012 and golf cart gets a lot of use all year long.. i have only good things to say about these batteries...

I have used a set of these batteries for 5 or 6 years in a golf cart that I use for towing aircraft and driving around an airport. Total use time is typically less than 30 minutes a day. I only charge the batteries when the cart slows down significantly (when battery voltage under load is around 5.6 volts). Fully charged batteries are 6.3 volts. I am very happy with these batteries. They have outperformed other brands I have tried. They don't consume nearly as much water as other brands either. I seldom have to add water. I just bought another set for the second cart.

I bought six of these batteries about 2 ½ years ago at Sam’s, I called and got the specifications on them and compared it other Batteries. They compared very close to the leading batteries that sold for 25 percent higher. I have maintained water (distilled) in them from the onset and to my dismay they did not last to even 3 years. I do use my golf cart every day and my first set of batteries lasted 5 years, this is my second set. I would not purchase them again. In my opinion they are not the worth the money

I've had 4 of these in parallel circuit on 3/100W Solar panels. Admittedly, I only use my solar bank in blackout conditions but with maintenance and little use, these batteries have lasted over 6 years now. I just got 4 more to add to my overall AH power - maybe use the bank a bit more.
