Worked great on my boat

Bought two in September of 2016, still going strong. They're constantly maintained by 100W of solar and a charge controller, as well as having a dedicated shore power charging. I bought these to get the 215 Ah for running a small fridge overnight while at anchor. I plan on adding two more to give me more time between charges, but never had an issue with solar and alternator charging each day. Even made ice one night at the end of a trip. Ice cubes made from sunshine!!!

Great way to add a battery backup to solar...

I bought 16 GC2 batteries to add an AC coupled battery backup to a grid tied solar array. I am running them in a 24 volt 215Ah configuration, using 4/0 welding cable for the inter connects. This added 20.64kWh of battery backup. About 4 day of power with no sun. With sun, the batteries will feed 240AC back to the array turning it back on in a grid failure. Neighbor has the same battery setup but running off grid solar.

Good batteries for My RV.

I've had these in my Class A Motor home since 2012 and they still hold 13.1 volts over night with none use of the RV. I have 3, 120 watt solar panels keeping them charged. And I service them regularly about 2 times a year. Plan on getting another set next winter just to avoid and potential trouble when we are dry camping. Batteries seem to last about 8 years before needing to be replaced.

Extremely Disappointed

I purchased my current set February 2019. 1 battery failed November 2019. Sams replaced it under warranty. I have been meticulous about checking the water leve, maintaining a charge, and replacing cables, but in less than a year these batteries barely get 8 to 10 miles and not even 8 in colder weather. My previous 5 year old Trojans outperformed these.

Junk

Bought two cg2 batteries in July 2019. Neither one will not put out even 30 amps for even a short period of time, even though they are fully charged. I will attempt to return them. Should have paid a few dollars more and got a interstate battery.

Duracell 6V Batteries

I purchased 6 of these for my Golf Cart 18 months ago for about $80.00 each. I made a mistake trying to save money. Don't buy these, they are very poor quality and the performance and life of the product is very poor. Make the investment and pay a little more for a higher quality battery.

golf cart battery replacement purchase

Used the online ordering. Went to store, used kiosk for order pickup. Could not find pickup area. All signage in the store is high up on the walls, except for the customer pickup sign. It was very low on the wall and difficult to see. After locating and paying for the batteries (6) , everything else was fine. Each battery weighs around 60-65 pounds, so keep that in mind. It was difficult to handle and move around the batteries in my car, but we prevailed and the new ones are installed and working fine. When you return your old batteries for your core credit, go right to the automotive /tire department in the back and they will remove the old ones from your car and issue the credit against your credit card

Fire Hazard!

We purchased 6 of these batteries to repower our electric cart 15 months ago. While driving our cart around our neighborhood two evenings ago I smelled something electrical burning. Then the cart lost power. I pulled to the side of the road and we lifted the seat to check the batteries. There was a small fire on top of a battery where the terminal was supposed to attach. The case burned through, from the inside, probably due to a faulty internal connection. The cable and connecting hardware are still intact, but the battery, just out of warranty period, is destroyed. We thank God that this didn't happen inside our home while the batteries were being charged! Pictures available on request.

Check dimensions and terminal placement carefully!

I bought four of these to replace the existing Interstate GC2 batteries in our motor home. They fit into the battery box, but the placement of the threaded battery terminals is off by just enough that three of my battery cables are not long enough to interconnect the batteries. I am either going to have to find longer cables or return these and go back to Interstate GC2s.
