I have 2 cats. The smaller of the two slid right through the bars like butter. This gate is a baby gate but was advertised for pets as well. I had to tighten it more against the wall. Now it's fine. It's not much of a complaint. And you get an extender as well which is a plus. I do like the gate even after the small mishap.

It is nice and tall but the width has only one set of predrilled holes. It can only be a certain thin width or wide width using the extra spacer panel, which we did. The width is also blocked by steel so even if u want to drill your own holes it could only be wider not thinner. The screw in bolt go in the extra spacer panel and they are not threaded on purpose it says but those bolts are way too long. We took a saws all to cut off an inch. The bottom was similar so we just didn’t use the receiver item as it was impossible to get them all in. It is tall and works nicely. There is a bottom tab for locking if you need to do that but you have to manually engage that.

This is a perfect gate which met our needs. Our Shiba Inu just had pups and we wanted to keep our other furry friends out of our bedroom. My husband had this put together and up in less than 30 minutes. It’s tall enough and sturdy enough to keep out our 35 pound male Shiba Inu when he was pushing on it. Our nine-year-old cat is able to jump over it which is OK with us. The description states it has an automatic closure which is not the case. It works perfectly manually and stays securely closed.

These gates are well constructed, easy to set up (the cups are optional except for stairtop use). The instructions, as with nearly any product today are a little slim in instruction, but ok for most. The gate itself is a little slim, had to take them down for a visit from a friend recently who wouldn't have made it through the gateway. Otherwise, no complaints, works as described and well constructed (metal not plastic).

There's nothing wrong with the gate. It works properly. I have 2 now. Just be sure you measure accurately for where you are placing it. I forgot to measure the distance between the baseboard and it's too short by 1/2" with the extension provided but all the way to the ends at the top without the extension so it doesn't hold well. I had to raise it above the baseboard which means I have to step over it all the time. It's not good to have to step over a 4" high bar when you have elderly people in your home. It's not the gates fault.

Nice in size it does stop the dogs from climbing over that was my reason for purchasing. I bought this to replace the other walk-through baby gate I had. the dogs are five months old Rottweiler and Doberman mix and were able to climb over the other gate. there were no spots in the other gate for them to put their feet on to help them climb over they are just that tall. It is a narrow opening but I weigh 240 and I am able to go through there. I highly recommend this to block pets not for anyone with a smart 2 year old it's very easy to open for a toddler. Its easy set up so easy to open that my five-year-old grandson can reach the top and figure it out.

This gate is the perfect fit for my narrow doorway to my kitchen, it's taller than most of the other ones on the market (which I love) and it keeps the cat and the kids out of my hair while I'm cooking. It is super quick and easy to set up, I did it myself in less than five minutes, it comes with simple instructions with step by step pictures to help you, but you really don't need them. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a 29 inch doorway or larger, it comes with an add on in case you have a slightly larger doorway as well, when it's fully together with the add on it fits in my hallway perfectly.

I bought this taller gate to keep my cats from going to the stairway to pee. it seems to keep them out but i dont like that you can only open the gate one way. if i have an armful of stuff I have to back up when opening the gate because it doesnt swing both directions and I HATE that feature. otherwise it looks nice, easy installation& keeps things separated.

The delivery was perfect, came right on time. Product was easy to build and is sturdy even without screwing them into the walls. My only issue is there was a bar broken on one end that I had to tape back together implying that this product came preused. I should not have to pay full price for something someone else broke.

Not only did it arrive looking somewhat dirty, like it had been stored outside, but it just straight doesn't work for a doorway. It's too tall. It interferes with the doorknob. You might be able to use it in a doorless area like a hallway, but thats not it's only problem. If you use the pressure mount method, it doesn't function properly. If you tighten it enough so it can't be dislodged, the latch area looses its clearance and you can't open it without fidgeting with it. If you loosen it enough for the latch to work how it is supposed to then it is too loose in the doorframe and can be knocked out of place with just a bit of effort (like a kiddo trying to escape!). Needless to say, I returned it!
