A lot of gates are easy to climb or lean over, but this one gives that added peace of mind—especially for a toddler who is determined to explore everything. With multiple kids and a busy house, it’s been so helpful to have reliable barriers that actually stay put. Helpful tips: Definitely install the wall cups—it makes a big difference in stability Measure your openings first to make sure you’re using the right extensions Tighten everything evenly so the door opens and closes smoothly The latch takes a second to get used to, but that’s actually a good thing for safety Mom note: this has held up against a determined toddler and daily use—so that’s a win in my book 🙌 If you need something sturdy, tall, and reliable, this is absolutely worth it. Love it, nice and tall I had bought it because I have a daughter living with a rare genetic disorder called Angelman Syndrome with this, she isn't very alert to the dangers, so a tall baby gate was definitely needed in this house hold.

My uncle set it up. The first one was a little difficult. The second one was easier. He had to add a piece of wood at the top of the stairs to in between the gate and wall because it was a little too wide. It made it much more stable...

I really like the quality of this item. It is sturdy and well-made. It doesn't squeak or rattle and doesn't have any loose pieces. Even the latch feels very solid and secure. The quality is actually better than I expected. I highly recommend this gate to keep babies or pets out of areas where they shouldn't be.

It does take 2 hands to open but can be closed with 1 hand. I used the pressure mount method versus screwing it into the door frame and my grown son was able to accidentally knock it down. But it was very easy to install and reinstall after being knocked down. When measuring the height, measure to the bottom of the doorknob if you intend to close the door behind it.

I dinged this safety gate one star due to the top railing being the same height as the door knob; higher or lower, would have been better. I will be able to raise the bottom rail off of the floor and maybe clear the door knob to underneath the railing. However, this would increase the trip hazard. It does work great in keeping the cats out of my small den area. The latch functions well.

This pet gate wasn't nearly as sturdy as a different one I found at the same price from a different company. Pros: It was easy to install with good instructions lightweight materials. Cons: There were 3 inch gaps between the door bars (vs 2.5 inches on a comparable gate), the door only opened one direction, the lock on the bottom of the door was hard to maneuver, and the top locks were more two handed than one. I don't recommend this gate for dogs of more than 30 lbs, and definitely not dogs that have shown any aggression toward each other. This gate is too lightweight for that. Plus the other gate that was the same price was 4 inches taller and had a wider doorway.

I really wanted this to work separating a living room from an adjacent kitchen area. However everything about the attempted installation was frustrating and the final result did not work. The opening width required using the extension however anchoring it to the wall sections was impossible to adjust with the four attachment point screw adjustments wobbling and moving each time the gate latch opening was attempted. Tried many times to install and adjust this gate but being relatively tall and wide the whole thing twisted and moved under use each time. Definitely did not work for me.
