This was purchased to keep a couple of beagles out of my new home office while I am working, and also to contain them when I leave the house. It works great, and they have not tried to jump it as it is high. I have had a lot of people ask me about it and where I got it, so have referred them to Walmart. Also, I priced this elsewhere and even when the price was comparable, the shipping was going to take way too long. This only took 2 days to arrive at my house.

We are extremely satisfied with this product as it is being used to restrain 5 adult Labs & soon to be 1 infant. Two suggestions for improvement would be: longer screws (1" used instead of supplied screws) to secure the anchor fittings and some method of securing the gate close gap adjustment nut. (As we discovered the Labs were able to loosen the nut enough to allow the gate to open, simply as a result of them pawing over time, while jumping up and down.) We currenting check the nut daily to ensure the gap is minimal.

This gate is really nice. Easy to get through (gate enclosure) No more straddeling to climb over a gate. VERY STURDY!!!! I installed just by pressure installation at top of steps for a pet. (can be installed more permanently but this is totally unnecessary, however, for a child I would install permanently for additional safety). Very good product. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't want the inconvenience of a gate to hinder their entrance/exit into an area.

i bought this so that i could keep my daughter out of our kitchen. whe is 36in tall and 2yr old who is able to crawl up most gates, so i needed a tall durable gate and this one is wonderful because it has bars that go up and down instead of side to side which she was able to crawl up. perfect for all the lil dare devils out there!

I bought this gate to mainly keep out ours cats. Well our smaller kitten can go right through the bars and jump over it. Our larger cat cannot go through it. I’m hoping by the time my kitten gets a little fatter she won’t be able to go through the bars. It works great for our dogs also. Some people mentioned the walk through is small but we haven’t had any trouble with that. We also had to screw ours to the wall. I love the height of it. The only thing we had to get used to was the bar that runs across the bottom we hit our toes on it at first. Over all I love it. We also had to zip tie cardboard from the packaging onto the gate to at least keep the kitten from going through.

The gate works... assuming that whatever the gate is trying to impede won't actually lean up against it. You see, there are two "pressure" screws on each side of the gate, but you cannot tighten the top screws very much, or else the gate won't close (due to thinning of the gateway). However, because you cannot tighten the top screws, be prepared to be creative in finding ways to hinder the movement of the top portion of the gate, especially if you have medium to large dogs that like to jump up...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I got this Extra tall safety gate to use to separate my living room and kitchen so that my niece will not go into the kitchen while we are cooking. She is pretty tall for her age so we needed a taller one so that she couldn't climb over it. What I love about this one is that it is very sturdy metal and has a nice opening to open it, you do not have to climb over it or take it down every time you want to go into the kitchen like other ones. The opening inst very wide, and with me being bigger, its a bit of tight squeeze to get through it but it works amazing!!What I also love about this one is how easy it is to clean, you just take a damp cloth and wipe it down and you are good to go. I highly recommend this one.

Installation was simple and straight-forward. Construction appears to be high quality. Main reason for purchase was to keep our high-jumping dog confined to a certain part of the house and this gate is serving that purpose while also providing an attractive looking solution.

We bought this because our yellow labrador has learned how to open all of our doors. This gate is tall enough and sturdy enough that even when he jumps up on it, there's no way he can get over or knock it down. He also can not open the gate as it has a sturdy "lock" on it. We ended up buying three of these for two doors and a hallway. Was easy to put together. Would recommend to others.

I bought this because i needed to block the doorway to keep my cat away from the christmas tree. the gate specifications are not correct! it does not fit my doorway of 34". so im very disappointed in the product! I would return the gate but I'm pressed for time and I can't just drive to the store to return it because they don't have it in my area! Oh, and she can also jump over the 41" gate, unfortunately, its the tallest gate I could find. So I had to add things to the gate to block my cat from going through or over it.
