The gate does what I need it to do . It works well without fastening it to the wall. It is light weight and easily moved. Each panel clicks in place to fit an odd opening. If you want a gate that is sturdy and heavy and does not budge then get another product. Common sense tells me that I still have to monitor my child with any product. I can open it one handed, after practice, so a child can not easily open it. You can bolt it into the wall. I placed it behind my couch and along the window so I did not have to use the wall fasteners. This gate met my needs.

Sadly to say but the day i got the gate and put it up, the part of the gate that opens broke off. I love the look of the gate and it was perfect size and seemed like good quality. It would have been perfect if the opening didn't break off. It wasnt from force it was just from opening and closing it about 13 times.

I bought this gate to span a living room and essentially cut it in half and it worked out amazingly!! In fact, I have extra pieces left over, so I was pleased not to have to buy extra sections for my needs. Very sturdy and my toddler yanks on it constantly, but it holds up just fine. Looks nice, has a nice height, and the gate swings open nicely and seems sturdy, not flimsy. The only problem I noticed is that if you have to remove a section, you have to take away two or you don't have the correct end pieces to make it attach to two walls. This could have been solved by just including 2 alternate plastic pieces with the contents, however they do not send these. In the end, it didn't cause a problem for me, but I may have used a different configuration if I had the choice.

We love this gate. It is long enough to reach across the room. Our 1 yr old can't open the latch, so it keeps her and the dog separated when she has a snack during the day. Has held up for a while now. We like ours so much that the neighbors got one for their dogs.

We used this gate to partition off an office space in our living room. It works great for us. When the toddlers figure out how to open it, we plan on using a baby lock to keep it closed. We've been very happy with the purchase and have gotten compliments.

We have an area where the doorway is very wide but needs to be kept safe from the baby, this gate is flexible and strong so works very well for this purpose. I was able to install it easily and form the shape to enclose the television stand and computer table.

Very sturdy as stand alone gate but my baby got it figured out in two days....did not prevent him from going where he's not suppose too. I bought this because I don't want holes in my wall but I am a bit disappointed. However, it is built very well worth the price and the option of screwing into the wall is really needed for a baby like mine.

This is great for our large opening between our living room and dining room. I don't know who they have deliver this item, but I read the reviews before I bought it and lots of people said their box came very damaged. Our box came VERY damaged as well and small parts fell out of the box. Now we have to go to the hardware store and get more screws. For $80, the box and the gate should've come in perfect condition.

This is a wonderful gate!! it is versatile, easy to open and close gate. The children can see clearly through the bars. I highly recommend for those openings that are larger than a door. If fully expanded it gets a little shaky, but they have (on each side) hardware to attach to walls, so I'm thinking that would firm it up a lot. I would recommend!

We bought two of these to control where our 90lb dog could go in the backyard. It works great, each two foot section can be adjusted to a specific angle and tighten to stay in that position. And with a built in gate it makes it easy to get in and out. Sturdy metal construction is very nice so it will last.
