Used this gate to block off a split level stairs. This is the only gate I found that would do the job and allow easy passage. The only thing that didn't work well is it had a lot of movement when the baby pulled himself up on it. Solved that problem using command strips under each of the gates feet.

This gate was easy to assemble and fit perfectly around our fireplace hearth. We chose to mount the gate directly to the wall on both sides of our fireplace so it would protect our little one from falling into the raised hearth. We're very happy with our purchase!

This product can be good and bad, depending on what your using it for. I have two boxers that I use this for. It is definately not as sturdy as the more expensive 1 we bought at Lowes, but it works good for 1 use and poorly for the other use. I put it around our entertainment stand and dvd case to keep the dogs from chewing up things. Since no windows or doors or space to walk in the area blocked off, the dogs ignore it and the cage works. I used part of it (3 lengths of it) to put straight across the kitchen to keep the dogs out of the kitchen becasue 1 dog knows how to open drawers. Well since it wasn't sturdy set like that and they could get into things on the other side, they knocked it down and therefore it works poorly using it that way. I don't regret the purchase becasue it works for the entertainment area and it was half the price of the one we bought a few years ago at Lowes.

My 2 year old girl has broken several of the welds (yes, where the metal connects to metal) in several areas. The locking mechanisms on the connections are not strong enough and have too much play to hold the gate in place. She was able to disable the child safety latch on the gate within 2 weeks. The door doesn't swing closed on its own. I bought this 4 months ago, and it is trashed. Don't waste your money. Also, I paid 30 bucks from the company to get extra mounting hardware and it took 8 weeks to get to to me. By the time I had time to evaluate the gate, the return period is over. You get what you pay for. The North States version of this gate is much better quality and the door swings closed. I have a family member who has a gate that has similar features to it, and it is much better quality . Plus, their expanding hardware only costs 8 dollars instead of 30.

Ease of folding. We have hardware mounted on one wall to keep pets penned in the nook/tiled floor and fold it out of the way when not in use. Other brackets are mounted to wall near window sill. Found the gate slides between bracket and sill - very convenient as we fold it five+ times a week. Dogs don’t push through when penned in for the morning. Also it blocks the Roomba when it vacuums the carpet plus when grandbaby visits keeps child out of kitchen - bonuses. With eight panels, the gate can be alternated to to an even or odd number spot. So know where you want your gate and add panels if you are mounting to a wall.

This gate is excellent. It is all metal (plastic knobs and wall attachments) but is sturdy. I used longer screws to attach to the wall, but on the wooden post at the bottom of the stairs, I used 2 large zip cords so I didn't have to make holes in the wood. The door is easy to swing open and operate if you do not use the added locking system. You just lift the lever, walk thru, then push it down again. But if your child figures that out, just use the locking system that is already attached. It is hard to pull back then lift the latch for the kids, but big kids and grown ups can do it easy enough. I really recommend this gate system. You can remove some of the gate sections if you need it shorter or want to move it into different shapes. This is very well made and strong. Best gate I ever bought. I have 4 grandchildren in my home ages 9, 4, 2 and 18 months every day. This gate system can also be used unattached to any wall by making it into a circle. Good for use with kids and pets. I have used this for 1 month so far. I did end up moving this gate off the stair bottom and onto the space between the wet bar and the left side of the bottom of the stairs to keep my youngest grandbaby from going into the downstairs bathroom, the laundry room (it has a cat box in there too), up the stairs and the entire front room. Moving it was much better for keeping my grandson in the family room area where we do most of our sitting, watching tv and the kids toy box.

Gate works for my purpose of protecting fireplace. Be careful when picking up at store as it looked like a tiger got to the box. Not really sure if it's an actual real tiger or some slow employee is drinking Charlie Sheen's tiger blood for some pep. Maybe be worth bringing a sleeping bag at pick up too because these people are slower than molasses on a cold day.

This gate has made my life so much easier! We have it set up blocking a wide archway between the living and dining rooms. It is wonderful having a space for the baby the dogs can't get into. The gate is a little too long for the space, so I had to rearrange the placement of the opening when I removed the unneeded sections. My only dislike with this gate is that the opening is not easier to place exactly where I want it.

After quite a bit of research, I decided to order the Regalo baby gate and play yard. I am so glad I did. It has made my life watching an active 9 month old grandchild so much easier! We've set it up as a play yard in our living room and at 192 inches, it's a very ample play area . The construction is sturdy and clean-looking (white polished metal) and is very stable, even with the baby pulling on the rails to stand. With a few twists on the joining caps, this play yard can easily be configured as a square, rectangle or octagon. The gate is well-made and baby proof. The whole thing can also be opened up and used in a wide doorway as a straight or curved baby or pet gate. I was very pleased with the speedy delivery, and assembly was easy and straightforward. All in all, we're very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

I wanted to create a play area for my 9 month old son. After looking at several options on various websites, I found that this was the largest and also cheapest enclosure I could find. I was a bit nervous, because usually you get what you pay for and some reviews were not very nice, but I figure since Walmart has a great return policy, that if it didn't work out it would be easy to return it and get something better. Lucky for me, everything turned out great. The play area is HUGE! My husband and I are trying to decide if we want to take out a panel or not. This thing is so big, it could cut straight across our living room if we wanted it to. This gate is sturdy and I think it will last us beyond when my son will grow out of it (2 years). Once he does, we will probably use it to block off our entertainment center to keep him away from the TV. Few things to note. There are knobs at the corner of each panel, you need to loosen them up before you unfold them or you may break them (I didn't, but I saw a reviewer who said theirs broke). All the parts are interchangeable, it took me awhile to figure out, but all the plastic connectors actually do come completely off, if you want, so that you can add or remove panels. Another thing, I don't know how they can advertise this as a free standing gate. I didn't plan on using it as one, but before I got the mounts screwed in, my 9 month old was able to move it. So, I don't recommend getting this gate if you don't plan to screw it in. Speaking of screws, these screws are terrible, use your own. I have half a screw that broke and lodged into my wall now. They are junk.
