Configurable into many positions to accommodate your needs. Lightweight but very durable. I actually bought another one just to put around my Christmas tree so the dogs and 2 year old son couldn't knock down all the ornaments or redecorate the tree the way they thought it should be, lol.

Our daughter just turned one and loves going up the stairs so we decided to invest in a gate to keep her out of trouble/danger. The only issue we were running into is we have a very wide opening at the bottom of our stairs so we were limited on the type of gate we could get. This gate is sturdy and with the extra paneling fits around the base of the stairs. The only issue we have found is that because of the way the paneling is configured we aren't able to get the gate to hug or fit tightly against the base of the stairs or the stairwell. We had to secure the gate into the wall on one side and into the railing on the other then use zip ties to hold an extra panel together, it doesn't look bad and again, for the price and size, and option of being able to use it as an enclosed play area down the road it's a good deal and fits our needs. We couldn't find this gate/playard for a better price anywhere else and love the ship to store option. We were able to pick it up at a local store within 5 days of our online purchase.

This is best extended baby gate in the market. There is few other alternatives. The gate latch design can be improved.

We got this to cover a fireplace, that our daughter loved. The gates arrived almost 5 days earlier than estimated. Installation was a breeze. It has 8 pieces, and we had to remove two pieces to fit our space. The only downside I saw it is that the gates need to be on level ground. We had a floor transition, and hence the floors were a bit uneven. The link becomes loose. I just need to give it some additional support, it doesn't happen again.

honestly it took 2 minutes of putting together before our toddler got it open- lock didn't lock and would just slide open with ease. had to disassemble and put back together. locks now but didn't keep toddler from getting through- 2 button lock might work better? keeps dog out at least.

If you want a baby gate that works, don't bother buying this one. My 17 month old was able to break free day 1. He has been able to break the bars apart from the frame no matter how much I tighten it.
