This really needs to be more adustable, it opens up nicely but you cannot shorten it's length to make it fit the opening you want. It would be better if you could remove a few panels or if the panels slid horizontally so you could adjust for a wide walkway.

This was the largest gate we found with 8 panels instead of the typical 6. Buying 2 sets and joining them together allowed us to create a rectangular play area in our family room. It blocked out the windows, fireplace, passthru, patio door. It is made of metal and heavy enough to provide good stability. it is good quality and excellent value. You cannot expect it to be solid if your child rides it and shakes it but then again that's not what it's made for. People need to understand it is a gate to help keep the baby safe from crawling all over the house. I highly recommend this product,

I would highly recommend this gate. We have a very large opening to our kitchen that I was having a very hard time finding a gate to fit. I needed a large gate but also wanted it to look nice. The description of this threw me off a bit because I was expecting plain metal but it actually comes in a very nice white finish. It works great and my almost 2 year old can not open the door or climb over it.

My puppy just loves the space he gets because he gets the whole kitchen to play in after meals are made. He loves anything he can chew so plastic was out. This metal gate is just great and has a door for humans to get in and out. No climbing over the fence.

Overall a decent product for the price. A few of the panels came apart as it came out of the box I purchased more than one to put together for a play yard. They do not go together easily, and the top piece that screws them together is hard to work. They are cheaper than other models, and you get what you pay for.

I used the gate to block access to the door and keep the baby from touching everything with lights on my entertainment stand. Worked perfectly and it was the longest gate I could find at a great price. The gate is metal and sturdy, I can see it lasting 2 to 3 kids. As the other reviews stated the screws are about 1/2 an inch long. Forget about using them in a wall, maybe use it to hang a (small) picture. A quick stop at home depot solved that problem!

I have a 11 month old baby boy and a cavalier King Charles spaniel they need their space- this gives it to them- separation but close to each other. sounds stupid but it works- divide my office in two so baby was safe from danger but still with us in same room. buying another for the kitchen/living room area.

This gate is 1) VERY HEAVY 2) cannot be moved without ALL of the panels moving together. It does NOT fold out easily like a regular gate. The locking devices between panels prevents you from moving the gate panels to configure to your space. And if you DO NOT lock the panels, then they uproot and can't be placed back down onto the floor without a second person's help. I'm giving this to Salvation Army. They can use 2-3 people to configure this gate to a space. I need to configure with ONE hand to lift and ONE hand to move the panel. Not possible with this gate.

My 11 month kept getting at the TV cords and dvd stand. My Husband and I were non stop pulling him away from them. We couldn't turn our back on him when he was in the living room. It was getting old really fast. I felt like I was telling him "NO!" all day long. I began searching for a answer. I didn't want to surround him in one of those big baby gate play pens things. I just didn't want him to yank out the cords and pull down all the dvds. I found this and new it was the solution. It comes with 8 gates door included. We only used 4 and it connects to the wall. It is very strong. My Son uses them to cruise on and he shakes them when he's excited for Mickey Mouse. It has been a life saver. My only complaint.. is that they were higher then I thought. So they cover up the bottom of our tv some but it's not an extreme amount and we have a decent size tv. So all in all it's Awesome and I highly recommend it!

This gate is very we'll made. It is solid and easy to set up. I use it for a 12 ft wide area between my living room and dining room. We had to purchase it to separate our two dogs after the smallest was released from the hospital and needed to be kept stress free. I love the fact that it can be easily folded up and stored out of the way. My daughter in law saw it and she will be purchasing one also! Very pleased overall.
