I have the plastic octagon playard, and it has no anchors so my son figured out easily how to bypass it. This one is much better for my purpose. The problem is, you can't easily rearrange the panels, because each one has either top or bottom fittings on both sides, so it has to be the alternate on both sides. It would be better if they would alternate, so it's top on one side, bottom on the other, giving more freedom on how to arrange them. We managed to find a workaround, so we're still able to use it, thankfully! Also, something to keep in mind-if you have a kid or dog that likes to rattle the gate, it's not sturdy if you make it straight.

We got this gate to go around our pellet stove insert and hearth. We did not have any issues with the joints, you just can't unbend the sections without loosening them first. If you do that, you will be fine. We mounted it to the walls as well, very easy, and it was a perfect fit around the brick hearth (one section on each side and 4 in the front, one is the gate so filling the stove is super easy) my son pulls himself up on it and shakes it like crazy and it barely budges. Would definitely recommend.

This baby gate is easy to install, adjustable, accommodates various shaped areas, and is stylish. I have a 17 month old daughter who is very strong and I feel this gate is secure and sturdy. I chose to make part of our living room her play area and surprisingly the room feels very open rather than cramped. It allowed me to separate the areas without cluttering the room. I bought a few other standard door way gates that are unattractive and allow her more opportunities to injure her self as she has access to the entire living room. This gate is also easy to move to other locations. I highly recommend this gate for any parent with a toddler.

I like the length of the gate was a little long for where i was putting it so had to take a couple panels off of it. didnt realize could take off the brackets to screw them in the wall first. was having trouble screwing it in the wall...the only thing i didnt like was when installing it had to angle it a little cause 7 panels was too long and so was 6 but thats all i could use so my gate isnt straight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t even tell you how much I love this baby gate!! It is perfect for our growing twins. Who just got mobile. Such a compact one for the baby to play while I cook or want to go to bathroom. I will allow her to play there while I am cooking or else if I feel exhausted I will make her play inside. It's lightweight and easy locking mechanism for opening and closing doors. Easy to install and it folds up pretty compacted of you needed to move it out of the way for awhile. Highly recommended.

This gate fit our needs. We have a wide opening from our living room to the kitchen and we needed a gate to keep our 8 week old yorkie confined. The only reason its5 not a 5 star is that our yorkie can fit through the bars. We had to put a mesh fence attached to the gate to keep her in.

Let me just start out by saying this is the second gate system i have purchased for my baby. I bought this product because of the cost item and the reviews. I mean come on a high average rating for the product. This product is poorly designed the main issue is how the sections tie into each other. You have to screw in the plastic top which has a metal screw that gets tighten into plastic threads. This is why this product is a one star and not four stars. Within days one of the plastic threads was stripped. Even when all the connection points were perfect the gate system still seemed a bit flimsy and hard to shape. So save your money and buy the north states metal gate system which i am much happier with even though it was more money.

This gate seems to be of excellent quality but isn't very configurable. Each of the 8 sections can be removed one at a time. But it's not possible to secure an odd number of sections to walls on both sides with the included hardware. Three additional small plastic pieces are required to allow vertical rods to attach on the ends. These additional pieces would make this gate so much more versatile. I will try to acquire these extra parts from Regalo or I'll return gate since other configurations dont work for me.

Our 11-month old is very strong, so we needed a gate that was of very sturdy construction. Lo and behold we found this gem and for a great price. Now our baby can safely play in our family room with no worries. I'd recommend this to product to all parents with infants and toddlers.

I’ve used Regalo baby gates in the past and always liked them, easy to set up and use. Not this 4-1…no extra parts included, definitely cannot be configured to your needs easily at all and the gate handle to open and close it is difficult to use. Usually takes to hands to open. Very disappointed in this model and feel it was a waste of money. I need to find a better replacement.
