I bought and put together 6 of these chairs. I recommend you use a good 4mm Allen bit in a ratcheting screwdriver. Use a good bit and the screw heads won't strip. They do strip easy if using a drill/driver. The tools they send strip pretty quickly. Follow the directions and do NOT tighten up the screws until the last step. This will let you line up the holes easier. I had no problems getting holes lined up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this chair about a month and after putting it together placed it in our family room to try it out and it has remained there ever since. It is comfortable and our whole family loves it not to mention our visitors. Super easy to put together. It looks like real wood, yet won't weather and splinter. Easy to clean. It is also heavy enough so that the wind can't blown it over. Very sturdy and well built. So much better than my plastic ones that blow over, crack easily and sun rot. We plan on getting a few more. These would also make great pool side chairs or to use in the outdoors at a cabin or recreational site. You won't be disappointed with this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From start to finish this Lifetime Product has been wonderful. I purchase many things via the internet and none have ever been packaged as well. The screws were encased in plastic - not the normal plastic bag that many put together products are. Which meant no frustration or lost or missing parts. With the help of my 8 year old grandson my husband assembled the chair. Everyone had to test the chair out once it was put together. It is comfortable and I foresee at family gatherings it will be the chair everyone wants to sit in. I have owned several Adirondack chairs over the years but none have been made as well as this one. I have never been disappointed with products from Lifetime Products (and I own many)....and highly recommend this chair and any of their products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packaging: The packaging is clearly well designed. The lid opens easily after cutting the packing tape. Everything inside is snug but easily removed. Bonus: the screws are in a plastic tray laid out perfectly - see picture. Unfortunately the tray must be cut open - it would be nice if it could be opened by hand. Assembly: The chair is semi-assembled in the box. Four of the slats on the back-rest and all seat slats come attached which greatly simplifies assembly. All screw holes are pre-drilled. An Allen hex wrench is included, but I used a hex bit in a cordless drill and in a 3/8" ratchet. Do not over-tighten the screws - you can strip them or dimple the opposite side of the material. The instructions say it requires two people, and I'm sure it is easier with two, but I was able to complete it myself in an hour. The instructions step through the process in a simple and intuitive way with great graphics...I had no trouble following them. I assembled it on top of my picnic table and was a little worried it would not sit square on the ground, but when finished, I put it on the ground and it was perfect...that's precision manufacturing...very impressed! Comfort: Sitting in this chair is a joy. The slanted seat and curved back-rest cradle and support extremely well. I have not had it long, but it is definitely a chair where one could doze comfortably or just sit outside on a beautiful day and read a book. I look forward to many years of happy relaxing.

The back support board cracked almost immediately.

Strongly recommend running the screws in the pre drilled holes first. The tools that are supplied are soft metal and strips and the screws strip as easily resulting in not being able to get important parts tight
