I just recently purchased this and so far am happy with it. The only thing I have a concern about is the oil cap. For some reason you need to work at it to get it to screw in and the only reason I say that is if you are not careful you could easily cross thread it.

I purchased 2 of these generators. wanted to power up my camper, with the intent to parallel these units. These units do not have a 30 amp plug, which is one of the few that don't. It is much louder than advertised and you can run other brands next to it and not hear the other brand running. All in all, I would not purchase this product again, I would spend the extra money to get a quieter one.

Took the product out of the box and it smelled like gas it stunk. I opened up the gas cap and saw gas and dirt in the bottom of tank. I put a papertowel on the end of a dowel and wiped it out. Is this normal did any of you have the same thing? I have not ran it as of yet this summer will tell if I have problems. Overall it looked new

I bought this product for my sister in August. We tested it with 2 small appliances and 2 phone chargers a few weeks ago, it ran relatively quiet, and worked good. We will know more about the product when we need to use during the power outage. Start was easy, as both of us are petite women, it took 1 pull to start. So far, we like it

Bought for intermittent emergency use during power outages in CA to operate fridge, washer, dryer, microwave, etc. Starts easily like a lawnmower after several pulls. Grounding recommended was not given guidance in manual, so fastened a length of electrical wire from the grounding nut on the generator to a steel post driven into the ground. Due to weight of generator, it's stored on a small furniture dolly for rolling. Runs quietly and is compact. Easy to maintain. Happy with it.

Started with a oil change every 1/2 hour for break in. After the fourth oil change (2 hours) the old oil came out pretty clean. Decided to start the test. I have installed a Reliance transfer switch. Using the WHPC parallel cable with 1 igen2500 connected we were able to run 2 refrigerators, 1 freezer, forced air furnace, satellite TV and a few lights. The igen held all for several minutes before we slowly decreased the load. It was running for all it was worth but did better than expected. We are purchasing another igen 2500 for parallel operation at the house. We started by wanting a gen for our RV and this works great for home back up. Easy to transport for other projects. So far so good.

Bought two IGEN 2500s and the parallel connector to use with my RV and run 30 Amp electric to the RV. Put in oil (oil filler tube is great as it ensures “no spill” by screwing into the oil fill), put in gas, pulled three times and they started. What more can you ask?

I purchased this I/GEN because I wanted one lighter than my old regular generator with the same wattage. I got it, put the oil in, put some fuel in and it started on the second or third pull. Checked everything out and it was A O/K. Plugged up some of my equipment and tried it out. It ran just fine. I ran it about 1 1/2 hours, cut it off for about 30 minutes then started it again with no problem. I ran it a while longer and cut it off. I am thoroughly pleased with it. Great buy as far as I am concerned.

Got this for our camper primarily. We also used it at home to test run the refrigerator in case of a power outage. Started right up, worked great. Powered the camper ac, fridge, lights, and water heater at the same time! Super quiet too. Our conversation was louder than the unit. Very happy.

I have not used this generator yet for the purpose for which it was bought. But I have started a break-in process. In preparation for the purchase I did a little research on what others had done to break in a generator like this. They had suggested that after adding the oil that you slowly pull the start cord to turn over the engine to get the oil distributed a bit. Well I did that and I could not believe the generator started on the 3rd pull. I was only pulling enough to slowly turn the engine over. I was by no means giving it the typical pull to start a small engine. I was impressed.
