Bought a couple weeks ago. Wanted it as backup generator for fridge and portable ac unit and something i can use camping. It is really quiet for the output, i think only the honda is quieter but does not produce as much running watts. Will get a second one in future when my power demands increase and i can run them in parallel.

This generator is a great product! It started easily and ran flawlessly during the 9.5 days we were without power due to the hurricane. It powered our deep freezer, refrigerator, lighting throughout my home along with some comfort electronics such as the WiFi router ,microwave ,tv’s and fans. We even used it to power our washing machine after other items were powered off. The output never surpassed 50% with the above items drawing power from it. My intention is to buy another and link them together for additional capacity. If you are in need of backup emergency power I highly recommend getting this IGen2500.

I needed a quiet generator to mount in my pickup to power a portable AC for when I am parked overnight at the truck stops. This generator is perfect. Its quiet yet powerful enough to handle the task. For any hotshot trucking operators out there I highly recommend this unit.

Just received it. Put the oil in and will gas it up when I need it. Seems solid and well built, but the plastic cover snapper broke when a removed the service cover to access the oil input hole - it is super cluing now. And there was a loose metal nut thing inside that I had to remove. Not sure where this goes but may find out later - guessing it has something to do with the service panel removal.

Received this generator today and couldn't wait to check it out. After reading instruction manual of course, I filled with oil and gas and she purred to life on second pull. I was ecstatic on how quiet it was started plugging several items around the garage for ops check. Cant wait for a season full of camping and even use around property.

I bought two of these units. During my break-in procedure, one of them started on the first pull every time, ran smooth, purred like a kitten. The other one always took several pulls and during the no-load part of break in, seemed to sputter a little. During the 75% load part of the procedure, it sputtered out and stalled after about 2 minutes twice, and was very hard to restart. I went into trouble shooting mode and as soon as I pulled the spark plug boot off, I saw the problem- the ceramic insulator was completely smashed. I guess the spark plug installer was a bit frustrated and installed it with a hammer that day? Anyway- fingers crossed that a new plug does the trick!

Adding the oil is fine, however the ability to measure the oil level is very poor. The 30degree access angle with measure stick makes the measurement inaccurate - false reading. I recommend the oil access be extend to point upwards, and a smooth stick be extended to measure where the oil level should be. I just received the unit. It started easily. Besides taking multiple attempts to ensure I was not adding too much the unit seems good so far.

I impressed with the features of this generator and it is very quite compare it to other generator, the display is very helpful and the shutdown while low it protects your investment, I will be looking for the DF home version to purchase once they are on some sort of discount.

I bought this to replace a 20 year old 5000w generator that recently died on me. I am very happy with how portable this unit is, how easily it starts compared to the old beast, and how the advances in technology allow it to run more quietly and provide real-time display of relevant performance figures. Only complaint is that the cover was difficult to remove after loosening the two screws, and I actually cracked one of the snaps on the cover when removing (it was very cold out when I set it up).

I bought the igen2500 for camping in my truck camper. it has a slightly larger engine than most light inverter generators.it runs the small A/c easily I would have given it 5 stars if the left service panel attachment points weren’t broken off and the carb drain hose was missing. If the parts dept.comes up with a service panel l will be very happy
