Received the generator today. Put oil and gas in and started on the second pull. Run it for about two minutes. Cut it off because I had it inside my garage. I recently hurt my back, so I won't be breaking it in for a while. But it sure was impressive while it was running. If all its features work as advertised, it will be a great buy. And I have no reason to believe it won't. Seems to be a great little generator.

I bought this generator for size, noise, and power rating for handyman work and if power goes out. Everything needed came in the box. Got it ready and it started on 5th pull. let it run for about 30 minutes twice already for part of the break-in. It is quiet and will power what I need it for.

So far the inverter has worked as it should, although there was a brief issue with not starting. But it's been resolved, so far. The inverter appears to be exactly what we wanted, a back up power source in the event of an outage. We are relying on the Westinghouse name and hoping not to be disappointed.

Dear Westinghouse: Due to the proliferation of bad weather we've had in Louisiana this year, I decided to purchase a generator large enough to run our freezer and refrigerator in case our electricity went off. The iGen 2500 seemed to be the perfect choice for us, since it is small, easily handled by two senior adults, and would fit our needs. A generator is a major purchase for us. It took hours of watching YouTube videos to choose the best generator to fit our needs. We followed the instructions exactly as stated in the manual and the generator will be well taken care of for its lifetime. We were delighted to discover that, if we left a review, we would qualify for a generator cover. So, I immediately complied, but quickly discovered the cover was not available. This is a great disappointment because we are on an extremely limited budget. It seems to me that a company who is concerned about their reputation would be sure to produce as many covers as they produce the "Congratulations!" for free cover cards they place inside the box, or to stop shipping the generators with those cards. If the card had not been in the box, we would not have a sour taste about an unfulfilled promise. At this point, we have run the generator for several hours to break it in and have experimented with several different configurations. We like it and we think it will suit us very well. Sarah H.

I bought this a month ago while the power was out due to hurricane Ida. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the power came back on before I had a chance to use it. I just had a chance to fire it up. It runs so smooth and quiet. I am prepared for the next hurricane!

Would like to see grounding instructions in addition to the reference to local procedures. Some areas in the manual appear to use the terms generator and inverter interchangeably which is confusing. I bought this generator to assist with power outages, but the manual instructs not to use the inverter in bad weather conditions.

I just purchased this generator, so don't have any experience to fully review as yet. It seems it will fit the bill, although a bit pricey for a small portable unit. Started up on second pull. Seemed to run smooth and fairly quite. Hoping it will last.Will update this review once I have had some use with the unit.

Just bought this as a backup when boondocking. We have solar panels to charge the batteries on the trailer, but I wanted a backup. Planning a trip this month and it may still be hot so after break-in I tried running the A/C while on generator and it worked just fine!

I just received my generator to use in my off grid camper. Generator started on the 5th pull and I let it run a bit... Hooked it up to the camper and everything worked. It had some trouble running my 11,500btu ac unit but my camper hasn't had electricity hooked to it in years so my ac may have been stuck, it popped the over load twice but then it struggled but did start the ac. After letting it run for a while this little machine ran it just fine.... I really think it was my ac unit being frozen or something. So far so good..... Letting it break in and then will replace the spark plug and change the oil and run full synthetic only.... Should be a good machine for my needs. It is a little louder then I had hoped, but it is what it is.

I have been wanting a generator like this for years. I finally broke down and purchased this one. I am so happy I purchased this one because it has so many features that are helpful. It gives you progressive digital readouts like gas level, voltage, even a low power option. I would encourage anyone to purchase one for themselves!
