Adding the oil is fine, however the ability to measure the oil level is very poor. The 30degree access angle with measure stick makes the measurement inaccurate - false reading. I recommend the oil access be extend to point upwards, and a smooth stick be extended to measure where the oil level should be. I just received the unit. It started easily. Besides taking multiple attempts to ensure I was not adding too much the unit seems good so far.

Got instant savings at sc making it worth it. Using for running some appliance and electronics during sporadic power outages And as a tailgate generator to run tv stereo charge electronics and a number of small cooking appliances. Just realize that at the full 2500 and 15 amps you will need some heavy duty ($$$) extension cords especially if you need more than 50 feet. Also suggest buying a quart of full syn oil that will max your operating temp range. Too soon to have anything to say about longevity and reliability

A bit louder than stated. Perfect for very sensitive live sound, follow the instructions. After starting the generator. Make sure all sound equipment is off, plug in, turn one piece of equipment on at time, allow a about 4 seconds to stabilize the generator, turn on the next piece of sound equipment and repeat. Reverse the same when turning off. No A/C hum or statics.

I bought this for an upcoming travel vacation and needed a fairly quiet small generator. I found this online and decided to give it a try. When I received the generator I was a bit worried because the box had some physical damage and I hoped that it didn't hurt the generator. After unboxing I was relieved to find that the generator was in great shape. I followed the startup instructions and within a few minutes had the generator up and running. It was not quite as quiet as I thought, but compared to another generator I have it is very quiet. I later found out it is much quieter than other units friends of mine have. The unit starts up first time, display panel and controls are well marked and usable. I ran a few items with the generator to test its capabilities and everything worked with no loading of the generator. Overall, this is a great little generator. May get another one to run in parallel in the near future!

I always wanted to have a second generator for convenience because living in the mountains we get frequent power outages. The iGen2500 started right up out of the box. It's quiet and relatively lightweight. Good to have during a camping trip or a day out on the water in a boat.

After unboxing and adding oil and gas, the generator started on the second pull. I shut it down and then easily restarted it on the first pull. It's reasonably quiet, but not as quiet as I had hoped. It's light enough for my wife to carry, so that's a definite plus.

I bought this to replace a small standard generator to use for extended outages we have experienced in the past. This inverter iGen2500 is so quiet compared to the standard generator and much more fuel efficient. I have done a few test runs with this iGen2500 using an extension cord to the refrigerator, freezer, house furnace and few lights and it works great.

Bought two IGEN 2500s and the parallel connector to use with my RV and run 30 Amp electric to the RV. Put in oil (oil filler tube is great as it ensures “no spill” by screwing into the oil fill), put in gas, pulled three times and they started. What more can you ask?

Since Covid pandemic, we can no longer have forced air dryers inside the dog show facility. This generator works perfectly to run my dog show dryer as well as fans & phone charges. Super glad I finally pulled the trigger and bought it! Definitely recommend!

I am so relieved to have this product! On a regular basis, we use it on a plot of land that we use for recreation purposes. It is great to have a portable power source that we can rely on, and one that I (at 5'2", 130 lbs.) can carry by myself and handle with no problem. Also, in the last several years, we have been in the path of numerous hurricanes and tornados that left us without power for weeks at a time. It is such a mental relief to know that we have this iGen 2500 to get us through those days. I could not be more pleased with this purchase! Highly recommend!!
