Love the color, the power, it runs quiet. Moving from a Honda 2000 to the iGen 2500 Westinghouse was a bit of a change for me. I am so glad I did, this has more power, runs just as quiet and it only weighs 48 lbs, this to me is a superior generator. I am sold on the iGen 2500. Buy it you will not be disappointed.

I bought this over the summer after the ice/snow storm in January 2021. Our power went out last night and this morning I unboxed the generator. Initial setup was easy and the generator started right up. I now have my two refrigerators up and running and also made coffee. The generator is surprisingly quiet. The digital display is great as I can tell exactly how much power each device uses. This will help me plan my load usage so I don’t overload the generator. Great product!!!!

Got mine about a month ago, broke it in, love the gauges for gas and power, wish 2200 had that, it pairs with my 4500df or you can easily take it camping, cranked on first start, right now everything is great! Sam’s delivered in 3 days! And love the price!

My first Igen purchase was 5 years for the 2000ixlt. It’s still running strong and continues to start on one pull. We use it for camping and only done the recommended maintenance. I wanted another for home use and added power during potential blackouts for the upcoming fire season here in Northern California. The Igen2500 should power the refrigerator and freezer with enough to spare to run some lights, tv and computers. If I need more I still have my trusty 2000 (actually puts out 2200). Today it arrived and I did some tests. First I filled with oil, then treated gas (always because of sitting between uses). Then pulled the engine through a few times to lubricate and until compression. A strong pull and it started on the first pull. Hurray! After warming up, I put a 1500 heat gun on to check accuracy on the data display, right on! Plugged in my circular saw and ran both and it maxed out just above 2200 watts but held the load with voltage at 122v. I like that unit only weighs 2#s more than the smaller one and the physical size is the same. Another bonus is it is slightly quieter than the 2000 I think due to more sound insulation. The only drawback is the gas tank is a little smaller, but not enough to create an issue. All in all, Westinghouse did an excellent job again in the design of this model.

I only received this generator today. It arrived well packaged with zero damage. I added the oil and fuel.. and it started on the second pull. Its very quiet.. and the engine idles very smoothly. I tested it with a space heater and it had no problem.. and it took only 25% load on low setting and about 40-50% at high setting. The price was excellent.. and about half the price of the Honda 2000 and it has more power. I'm looking forward to using this generator for camping.

Bought this generator a few months ago, have not needed to use for true outage yet but ran a couple times for break in and hooked up window ac for load second time without problem. Not quite as quiet as I expected having run a honda inverter gen before but definitely better than open frame ones I have used. Also purchased a magnetic dipstick at recommendation which worked well collecting metal shavings on break in cycle. Easy to start and control panel is easy to use, only issue was that the manual shows the choke dial differently which was confusing however the quick start guide was accurate. Fairly light and easy to move without wheels. Overall not excited about having an outage but feel well prepared now, just need to be able to power fridge and freezer to keep cold.

I bought this a week ago and have never owned a generator/inverter. It was so easy to use out of the box. After filling with engine oil and gasoline, it started on the first pull. It is so quiet! I am back and forth from my home and farm to operate equipment: electrical saws, air compressors, heaters, cooking stoves, etc... I even plan to take this thing to the softball fields for some nice hot lunches. If you haven't committed to a product yet, don't overlook this one!

I bought two of these during the Florida hurricane season tax-free weekend (May 2021), and I just got around to unpacking them today. They were easy to set up (just add the oil and gas), and the meters accurately reported the power being drawn on the machines (based on the wattage info in a hair dryer manual) . I also purchased a parallel cord, but I've not tested that yet. This review is for the "first" unit I unpacked. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase, except that the muffler cover is loose. As I tried to tighten it up, I realized that the plastic panel above the muffler cover is bent, so a tab that holds the cover firmly in place cannot "click into place." Also, one of the screws that holds the muffler cover will not tighten, no matter what I do. It doesn't affect the operation of the unit right now, but I'm a little perturbed to have this happen with a brand new unit. Also, it makes me wonder how well the unit will hold up over time. Because of that, I removed one star from my review. This review was given in exchange for a free generator cover, but the review contains my honest, independent opinion.

Didn't have a generator. Had a power outage for 3 days. determined I really needed to get a one. So researched very long and decided on the iGEN2500. Have yet to use it but used one like it and that sold me into obtaining a Inverter generator for my future needs, living in the northeast knowing outages will come again.

pro's starts rite up. runs fantastic. I check the power, it is as advertised. nice-looking unit. comes with everything you need to get started with about a 15 minute set up time. the unit is made well. Cons. the only partial con is the housing rattles a bit. found this to be true with most of the competitors as well. Overall this is a fantastic unit and I will be buying another.
