First Pull

Just unpackaged, added the included oil, put gas in, took outside, choked the engine, started on first pull. Very quiet , very pleased.

Loves Breakfast

Won't Start

When I received the generator I added the oil and fuel and it started right up Today I was ready to run it for breakin and it won't start. It's been in a sheltered area so it shouldn't have any contamination. Any suggestions?

Hi, <br /><br /> We're sorry to hear about this. How long did you store your iGen2500 before you were ready to run it for the break-in period? When storing your generator for 2 to 6 months, we recommend filling it with fresh gasoline and add a gasoline stabilizer as well as draining the carburetor float bowl. IGEN2500 FUEL CAP

If you recently purchased this unit and it feels like the fuel cap doesnt fit well or cross threads just call Westinghouse to register your unit and have them send you a new fuel cap. Sounds like they had a bad batch of them.

Do not use supplied oil.

Oil that came with Generator is junk. Use a USA MADE OIL.lookd like veg oil and turns milky. Run 3 minutes and change. Do this as many times as it takes to get rid of metal in oil.

Great tailgating generator

Bought this unit for tailgating and couldn't be more pleased(Go Vols)! Took 12 pulls to start initially, starts on the first pull ever since. Pleased with how quite it is. My friends who own a Yamaha and a Honda have been very impressed with this unit.

Check sparkplug

After reading other people's reviews about sparkplug problems, I pulled and checked the plug. The insulator of the plug had two large cracks in it. Replaced the plug and ran for four hours, no other problems. Waiting for a call from tech rep to discuss replacing the sparkplug.

Runs everything well, when running

I bought this item 6 months ago. It ran fine at the time and I use it to run a small air conditioner on my camper. When the a/c is on high, the inverter shows that it is at half power. It runs the air conditioner well and is relatively quiet for a generator, but after about 4 months, it started shutting off for no reason. It will run for about 15 minutes with no problems, but it won't stay running.
