I have an older Coleman generator from the 90s Which did ok for my camping trips Rated at 1500 watts. It was time for an upgrade. This thing is great. I like all the new features and smart display. I have a very small rv and this is the perfect size for everything on it. Only time will tell if can last as long !

I purchased the iGen2550 portable generator on 7 Aug 2021. Arrived very quickly and that was impressive. I ended up with a hand injury and found the weight and size made it a little difficult to move. I purchased this generator particularly to use with my trailer. I just started using it and was impressed so far. I’ll give my final review once I recover and really put it through its paces. Really look forward to using out in the field with no external hook ups.

I researched several generators and decided on the iGen 2500 Westinghouse for its features and price. I am very happy with the purchase. The generator is very quiet and met my expectations based on the data and research I did. It also comes with oil and a funnel, so that is a nice bonus. I plan to use this for running my CPAP over night at the hunting shack, so I'm looking forward to seeing how long it will run on one tank. They advertised a free cover if you registered it after the purchase, but they said they are all out, so I was just a bit disappointed in that.

We purchased this generator to power our travel trailer camper when we do not have hook up. It's very light and has easy to read fuel level and draw indication. It's a little louder than I expected, but still way quieter than any generator I've used before.

I saw this generator on sale for $200 off regular price and ordered it. Fast delivery. Followed instructions and it fired up like a champ. My friends are envious now they did not order one when I told them about it being on sale. It is not overly noisy and overall a great generator!

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I put in the included oil and put about a quart of gas into the tank. The generator started on the fourth pull and settled down into a smooth rhythm within a minute or so, after adjusting the on/choke knob. For the initial test run, I didn't run anything with high amps and only connected a large floor fan, which ran perfectly. The generator ran for over two and a half hours on the quart of gas, and I let it run down completely to avoid any residue which might affect later starts. I measured the decibel volume between 44 dB to 58 dB, measuring from 25 feet away to an inch or two away, and in both eco mode and regular run mode. The generator is very quiet and can only be heard faintly in the house on the side it was located, but it couldn't be heard at all in the bedrooms or upstairs. The information display is easy to read. My only criticism is that the serial number could be placed in a more accessible location, which has nothing to do with the performance.

Pleased with this generator so far. I looked for a long time and this unit simply had the best performance and features for the price. After adding gas & oil, generator started up on first pull. Extremely quiet at idle with eco mode on. Add a load to it and the engine speed ramps up, but it is still very quiet even at full load. I've tested it to about 1600 watts using a space heater and it handles it effortlessly. I'll wait to fully load it until I've finished the break-in. The digital display really sets this apart from other generators in this size and price range. The display will let you cycle through voltage, output power (in kW), lifetime hours, fuel quantity remaining (in liters), and time remaining on fuel. All the functions seem to work just fine and the power output was accurate. You just can't find this feature set in other generators, especially the lifetime hours which is helpful for me to schedule oil changes and such. If first impressions count, this generator is a winner. The big question is long term reliability and that is an unknown. I have a large Westinghouse generator (their W9500DF) that I bought a year ago that has been a tank-- it's a great generator, so I have high hopes that the quality and reliability of this model will be similar.

This generator is just what we need for the days our local electric company decides to shut off our power for fire safety reasons (PSPS). They are also upgrading the power poles (very slowly, over years) in our area so we plan to use this on the scheduled outage days. It's quieter than we expected and will run our fridge, modem and a few lights when we'd otherwise be in the dark.

Bought this for power outages and tailgating. Came just in time. Winter can come early in NH and right on cue, wind storm and power outage. This little baby had a baptism of fire. Barely had time to break her in and change the oil who it was called up for service. This puppy powered everything we needed it to do and then some. Super quiet, easy to use. The control center was an added bonus. Love this! If you are on the fence, don't be. Go out and get yourself some piece of mind from an awesome manufacturer...and at an excellent price point. You will not regret the investment.

We ordered this generator in response to storm power outages so that we could run our refrigerator, upright freezer, and some lights in the house. The generator handles these items easily. It is quiet, easy to start, and easy to service (change oil, etc). When the generator arrived it started great and generated electricity as expected, but one of the LED indicators was not working. I called Westinghouse and they were very responsive. They immediately sent me a new generator and also sent me a shipping label to ship the other one back. I am impressed with the performance of this generator...and it was only 40% of the cost of Honda!
