Impressed so far.

Impressive features on this unit. The user manual, display, ease of starting just to name a few. Nice that the oil with funnel and spark plug wrench are all included. Instructions on set up are clear and easy to follow. After the set up it took about 3 easy pulls to start. At normal idle I thought it sounded louder than I thought it would be.My phone app sound meter showed a fair amount higher than the 52db advertised level. However on eco mode it is way more quiet. Can't speak to long term use or reliability yet but so far I really like it.

Great size and features

We purchased this after the ice storm in Texas and prior to hurricane season so we will be prepared for future emergency needs. Being without heat or A/C for extended periods is not something we want to go thru ever again! The compact size, features and ability to parallel operation with another iGen2500/2200 made our decision very easy.

Very Quiet

Everything about purchasing the generator was easy, including the setup. The directions were clear (other than me not noticing there was a button for the digital display), and everything was included for the initial startup (even including a no drip funnel for the oil fill). Everything worked perfectly, and I was very pleased at how quiet it is.

So far, reliable as promised

I bought this model because of the positive reviews. It performs well so far, though it hasn't had much use. I made this purchase for emergency backup. Easy to operate, economical, and portable. It certainly isn't as loud as other generators. I think the power output is good for the size, meaning this purchase has been a good "bang for the buck."

I like the way it’s features are easy access

I bought this a couple of weeks or so ago. It has easy access to features, and it’s easy to add oil and gas. Anchoring the gas cap was a great idea. I haven’t had a chance to use it, but I have purchased Westinghouse products in the past and have never been disappointed with your products. I’m a senior on a fixed income and choose my purchases carefully. This iGen2500 is of greater value than its cost.

This generator is designed for simplicity, easy to operate

I purchased this generator to run a sump pump and some lights when the power goes out. After shopping around, I don't think you can beat this unit for the price. It has more output than anything else in its class. The controls are very easy to understand and the manual is spot-on with details on maintaining this gem.

Bought after much research, most powerful and priced right!

Just purchased this generator. Added oil and gas, started up with first pull! Everything was packaged just as advertised. Much quieter that standard generators. Intend to use for camping, and I see not reason that a five star rating will not be warranted after actual use. Satisfied so far!

A little bigger than I thought

I purchased the iGen2550 portable generator on 7 Aug 2021. Arrived very quickly and that was impressive. I ended up with a hand injury and found the weight and size made it a little difficult to move. I purchased this generator particularly to use with my trailer. I just started using it and was impressed so far. I’ll give my final review once I recover and really put it through its paces. Really look forward to using out in the field with no external hook ups.

Nice Unit

Bought this to run the 13.5k A/C on our RV. This should have enough power to run the A/C without an A/C soft start controller. This unit has more power than a similar unit for almost the same weight. Great User Manual, well written. I am finding spare consumable parts (air filter, fuel filter) are hard to find online. Really like the data (fuel gauge, power, volts, time) on the control panel

Fantastic little generator for the cost

Everything about it seems to be good quality. I wish it had a standard 30A outlet so I could plug my 30A RV cord directly into the unit. With a MicroAir EasyStart system installed, I'm able to run my Dometic Brisk II AC as well as my 6cf Norcold RV refrigerator at the same time. I would have liked to see a proper break in procedure documented in the manual and quick start guide. In short, pull the spark plug and use the included funnel to pour about 1/2 ounce of oil directly into the combustion chamber. Then SLOWLY pull the starter cord about 15-20 times to ensure the cylinder walls, piston skirt, and rings are fully saturated with oil. The put the spark plug back in. Yes, it will smoke like crazy on startup the first time and this is ok. Put the included oil in the crankcase as instructed...gas it up and start it with ECO mode off. Once started, turn from choke to run position, then turn on ECO mode. Run it with no load for about 30 minutes. Stop the engine, drain the oil...yes it's black. Now, do it again, this time at about 25% load for 1 hour. Change oil again. Now run it a full power load through 1 tank of fuel. Then change oil again. After the first break in step, start using full synthetic oil. This procedure take some time and is a bit of work but it will ensure the engine is broken in properly and should last MUCH longer. Don't believe me? When you drain the oil the first time, drain it into a glass container and look how black the oil is. It will be like that the first 3 oil changes. After 3 changes, then run as recommended...50 hours between changes...always using synthetic. Also note that you don't have to use 10w-30. The manual says that you can run more temperature appropriate oil as needed. Also, get a better spark plug. You should go ahead and get 2...change out the cheap Torch brand after the break in. then have another on hand as a spare.
