I bought this unit in April and just got a chance to open it to see how it worked. I was a little disappointed when it would not start. Customer service was helpful and sent a technical bulletin to show me how to get it running. They have a plug that comes undone during shipping. After watching youtube videos I found this is a common problem. I would recommend they put a lockable plug instead of one that will come off during shipping. I was able to fix it but when it is brand new I should not have to take it apart to get it running. other than that so far it seems to work well with the problem fixed.

I've just bought the iGen4500 and it is now my 4th Westinghouse generator (I've had a WH2400i and I still have a pair of iGen2500's) and I've been very pleased with them all. The only complaint I've had with the smaller generators (which I run in parallel) is that they don't hold enough fuel so I have to refuel them 2 or 3 times during a track day which is very inconvenient. I tried adding an extended run generator and that went really well until the hot summer days came along and vapor lock set in. So, I finally gave up and decided to just buy an iGen4500 with its much larger tank which I'm hoping will allow me to get through a track day without refueling.

I am re-registering my igen4500.. When I initially registered it, I had not used it and could not give a review, but, now I can. I purchased this product to run my 40' fifth/wheel and it did the job. While it can't run both the 15,000 btu a/c's at the same time, it powered one while keeping everything else running including the fridge, lights, microwave,water etc. I bought the 4500 because of that capability. Those 2200/watt generators can't do that. Used it a solid month and ran it from 2-3 hours straight to 6-7 hours at a time, every day. The front information panel tells me everything. The amount of run time left, power output, fuel level, voltage and total run time. The a/c//microwave kicking on brings the noise level up a bit, but, when those are off it's very quiet. It got a little wet and muddy from some storms we went through, but it kept running and functioning without any problems. I have started it all 3 ways and it starts right up every time. I will mention your customer service because they were great. You can look up my my interaction with them. They were instrumental in my purchase and keeping this inv/gen. Taking it out for a month again in September. So far so good!

Westinghouse was so anxious to get a review that they automatically triggered this review at the end of the Warranty Registration process. I have not put oil or gas in it yet. I’m currently reading the owner’s manual. I do like the large carrying handles the transport wheels and the extendable handle. At approximately 100 lbs we can carry it easily where the wheels won’t roll.

Our usage elevations fluctuate from 800 to 8000 feet. This generator handles this well. We love being able to use the fob to start or stop without getting out of the camper and at a distance of 99 feet. The live data display of remaining time run, power output, fuel level, voltage, and lifetime hours is an excellent tool. It can also be used as a back-up to household power shortage.

The iGen4500 is very easy to set up right out of the box. It started right up and runs very quiet. Ours will be used for RVing and I am sure our neighbors will appreciate the low hum of this generator. Maintenance seems very easy and it is easy to maneuver with the telescoping handle and never flat wheels.

Very happy with it right out of the box. Product is solid, well built and ships with everything you need. I put Mobil 1 oil in instead of the oil it comes with and put in a NGK spark pug before starting it. It started immediately and ran like a charm. Hooked it to my travel trailer and ran it for about an hour with the AC and tv running. It purred like a kitten smooth and quiet.

Just barely out of the box, started up great with the pre-charged remote battery. Selected this unit for the clean power feature to run PCs, TVs, freezers, etc at home during power outages so as to bot damage any electrical equipment. Only feature it's missing is a multi-fuel/propane option (therefore only 4 stars), I don't believe they offered one with that at this time. Will be back later to update rating after more use.

I bought the igen4500 generator about two weeks ago and I have to say that I am very impressed. The generator weighed about 100 pounds but that is extremely light for a high powered generator like this. It is also very quiet which is great for when I take my family to camp sites and don’t have to worry about keeping anyone else up. For the price and quality of this generator I highly recommend purchasing the igen4500, you won’t regret it.

I got it and hook up the battery charge it for a few hrs add oil and gas...only problem I havent found out why it did it is that it says it takes .63QT to fill so it comes with .63QT so I add the bottle I ck oil level perfect!! But problem after 1/2 hr of just sitting there before I started it it leak oil thru the deep stick witch I hadnt close it yet...it went from perfect level to 3/4 level why I dont know it was in ground level....But guys it has work find after that Super Quiet and it runs my A/C and all Power stuff in our RV.....
