Runs like a CHAMP! ...leaving worries and concerns behind. I waited months for this item to become available. After reaching out to Westinghouse to see if the item is still in production and would be returning to stock soon, they quickly advised several retailers would be receiving stock in early to mid-September. I signed up to receive alerts when the generator was back in stock and just as advised, in September the generator became available and I jumped on the opportunity. I live in SoCal where SoCal Edison has been cutting the power whenever a fly breaks wind, or as they call it, a PSPS Public Safety Power Shutoff due to Red Flag Santa Ana wind events, and the need for a home backup power source became evident as the shutoffs are more frequent, costly and a burden. The unit arrived in pristine condition and initial setup was simple taking no time at all. SoCal Edison has graciously provided opportunity to use the generator 3 times clocking a total of 100 hours so far. The unit has been reliable, running flawless, excellent run time on fuel, and super quiet compared to my WGen6000 conventional generator. An additional relief is knowing the unit produces low THD, so I have no quarrels powering sensitive devices. I have been impressed with this unit and have been extremely happy. I am so pleased with the unit and how it supports creature comforts that when SoCal Edison calls giving notice power may be restored in 1-4 hours (usually happens in the middle of the night), I (almost) hope they would wait and restore the power at a decent hour when I don’t need to crawl out bed and disconnect the generator in the wee hours of the night. My wife gives the iGen4500 praises upholding continuity as Wi-Fi continues to broadcast keeping her connected, her Hallmark channel is relatively uninterrupted, so Christmas shows remain on schedule throughout the year and her wine remains chilled at the ready. Load: Typically, I have it running at ~25% load supporting 2 refrigerator/freezers (28.0 cu. ft/18.0 cu. ft), 2 cable TV/DVR boxes, broadband and Wi-Fi boxes, 2 TV’s, 2 surround sound systems, a security system hub station, laptop with dual monitors, keyboard and mouse, 4 lights and I can charge a cell phone with no issue. As needed, I plug in either a coffee maker, microwave, or toaster/boiler/air fryer oven, and it would accommodate the load jumping to ~50% load capacity with a slight increase in engine noise. Fuel consumption: Under these conditions (~25% load), I would average ~17-20 hours of run time on a full tank of gas in efficiency mode. Maintenance: The digital control panel is a plus. It is not an absolute necessity, but it makes scheduled maintenance, output monitoring, fuel level, remaining run time, and lifetime run time available in a simple panel. My only comment for an area of improvement is the amount of access space available for maintenance when performing oil changes. The available space is minimal, but you can get the job done. Last note, since I have the iGen4500, I only run my WGen6000 as to not neglect it, keep it in a ready state, and to wake up the neighbors.

Exceptional workmanship. Well thought out design. There are two companies that dominate the market for campers/RV crowd and this generator came to dominate the game. Remote start, dual fuel, longer run time, quieter than stated, higher running watts so you don't have to worry about what you can run in your camper. I couldn't ask for anything more. Oh, and have the price of the competition with the same quality.

Recieved the Igen4500, put oil in it connected the battery, put gas in it and it's turned over with no issues. Took a little bit for gas to get through the system. Once it did it fired right up. Tested the remote for it and it worked perfectly. Purchased this to power the camper when I cant get a electric site and this should work fine. Only reason I did four stars is the fact that I haven't had a chance to fully test it. It runs about as quiet as my families yamaha quiet generator.

Was just delivered today. Only took a few minutes to set up and started up right away. Got this due to having remote and push button start for my disabled wife. Love the remote. Only recommendation is maybe make the oil funnel threaded for the oil bottle also.

I bought the IGen4500 portable inverter generator on November 7 and I just received it today November 13. The initial setup looks straight forward reviewing the procedures and looking in the different doors. Looking forward to getting it all setup and broken in before the next PSPS here in SoCal.

I bought this for my small business, it has great feature - my favorite part is the LCD screen for the amount of gas is in the generator. Previous generator had a toggle level under some plexi glass, but when that glass was dirty, it was hard to tell if it was filled or not. This is a much better way of telling.

I bought this for my new camper. A must for any adventure!! After 2 weeks of research on 11 different models, this was the one. Added the oil, connected the battery and we were ready to go. Remote start? Heck yea!! Anybody can start this machine. Runs all night in the camp ground and does not bother a soul!!

I bought this a couple months ago and have used it a few times. Runs good. Came without a plug inside the engine unplugged somehow. After nearly returning it I searched the internet and found it's a common problem - took about 20 screws out, found the unplugged choke cable, reassembled and it works good now.

I did a deep internet dive researching comparative products. For the price, this generator is chock-full of many of the features I was looking for. Other products had some of these specs, but not all in one product like the Westinghouse. It also looks sturdy and well made and provides more usable power than other higher priced generators.

I searched this generator out for an RV camping trip with my family. I was concerned with the power needs for a 26' RV camper trailer and went with the iGen4500 based on recommendations from other avid RV campers. I was very impressed with the unit and its ability to power the entire unit for my family of 5, including the air conditioner all night, every night, and was very quiet. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for remote power for a larger RV camper.
