We bought this to go camping with for our RV. We used it to recharge the battery, run the a/c on high, outdoor fridge and a few misc. plugged in items. It definitely didn't let us down. It did all that and I am pretty sure it can take more! It is very quiet compared to some models and regular generators.

I purchased this not knowing a lot of people that had one. I am so glad I did I love the remote start it never hesitates to start right up and not have to deal with going outside and starting it. I am super impressed for a Gen4500 how light and easy to move. It’s definitely super user friendly with everything on it being labeled. With this being said I will definitely be recommending these generators to all my friends.

The good: price, large fuel tank, remote start, relatively quiet, started and runs fine so far (only have one hour of use at this point). The bad: no hour meter, free cover is currently unavailable, digital display for fuel remaining is in liters not gallons, no easy way to drain engine oil. The ugly: plastic engine case has gaps and uneven seams, looks like it was thrown together in a hurry.

I bought this generator for a back up system for my 5th wheel camper. It is powerful enough to run one ac unit and ran the microwave at the same time, delivered to my needs. Started up 1st time out of the box after putting in oil and gas in of course and it runs great and is quiet.

I bought this igen 5000 to replace my igen 4500 which had 580 run hours on it. This is the 3rd Westinghouse I've purchased and can attest to their quality and performance, bar none. I'm excited to begin use of the 5000 while camping this summer. GREAT PRODUCT; quiet, powerful and flawless.

Upon receiving the shipped generator, it would not start. The problem was a plug for the engine’s choke was not connected. I looked up on YouTube and saw how to fix it. Was called a common problem. Bought three generators and they all have had the same issue. After the fix it worked better than expected.

Just got it, so far no problems. Starts manually at first pull, electric start and remote works fine also. Easy to move around and generator really quite. But... not a big deal, nevertheless I think it worst mentioning. Manual states to pour the entire bottle of oil into the engine, one would assume that is correct amount of oil, well in my case I got quite a mess, most likely some oil remained in the engine from factory. Just a suggestion for new owners... do not assume, check oil level before bottle is empty. Otherwise if that is only problem I will be extremely happy with IGen4500.

I'm extremely pleased with my new IGEN4500. I too have spent a lot of time researching all kinds of generators and found this one to be by far the best bang for the buck. My research has been more so focus on the camping aspect.But it will also be used in Winter for power outages as we tend to have a lot of snow storms where I'm from. Compared to other generators I have used this one is by far the quietest Even when under the load of my A/C,microwave,hot water tank,lights, and TV.I love the remote starter! I don,t have to get out of bed in the morning or go out after dark to start or stop it. Also, I like that there is an easy panel that removes without the use of tools for the oil and battery.

After months and months of research, my husband decided on the Westinghouse iGen4500 generator. We could not be more excited with how smoothly the generator fired up. We are excited to take it out camping this next week and try out the remote start/stop feature!

I have been using this generator for over a month now for weekends up at some property I own. I have a trailer with a 15000 btu AC unit and the generator handles it fine get overwhelmed when I try turning on the other 13000 btu ac unit as well but I knew it wasn't designed to handle both so no fault to the unit there. I did run into one draw back when I left the generator running for a few hours powering the AC unit in my trailer it just stopped working tried restarting started up for a minute then stopped again. I played with it for a while and finally got it running and what I think was the issue was the ground wasn't perfectly level so just a heads up level the generator. Over all I'm happy with my purchase
