We researched other brands and after reading reviews decided on Westinghouse IGen4500. It is quiet and ran everything in our camper. I followed the directions for start up and it worked just as stated. It is also nice to have the remote and it worked great! We are very happy with this purchase!

I recently purchased the iGen 4500 and quickly had to get it out of the box to review. It is a very reasonable size and will fit well into our travel trailer. It has a good deal of output to run everything we will use in out travels as well. It has a good size gas tank and when I started it up, it is really quiet compared to some generators I have heard running in campgrounds. When comparing other generators, it is a great bargain for the power, quietness and modern technology it has. I really am glad I made this purchase.

being a mechanic, I had the fore thought to order a carb jet kit since I would be using this at high altitude. found detailed instructions online and installed in a half an hour. installed battery, added gas and oil, and generator fired right up. Only have 10 hours on it at this point, but I am very pleased!

I bought this right after a power outage and have been impressed by the extra features. I wanted something that had an electric/remote start so my wife could start the generator if I wasn't around and this generator does that. The LED display is also a nice feature because I'm able to look and see exactly how much power I am using and if I can plug more stuff in. It helps me get an exact number for power needs of a device as opposed to a general estimate. So, far it has run well and fits the needs I have.

It runs a tiny bit rough, but I think after checking the spark plug next time out and with an ample 1/2 hour or so warming up it might smooth out. The manual was just OK, but I found a few things missing: Nowhere was it mentioned that the remote was clipped to the pull cord. I found that just by spending time with it up close for a bit. The included charger was also a bit of a mystery, but after examining the front panel for a while, I figured out it was to charge the starting battery when it's been sitting for a while - neat feature. Overall I'm happy this all worked out. No issues and it runs quiet and is even easy to move around.

This generator has great features and easy to operate, we bought the generator in January and used it in February when the Power went out the the house. We hooked it up to the RV it ran very quiet and very economical. I’m thinking about buying another Westinghouse generator for my shop.

After reading many reviews for many different brands of generators, I decided to go with the Westinghouse iGen4500. I know people claim they have trouble with the choke or the unit is damaged on delivery but I did not have any issues with it. B/c I read all those things tho, the first thing I did was tear it apart in my shop and check for damage / loose bolts / poor electrical connections / signs of replaced parts / etc. I found nothing out of place and the unit seems well built. I have since put 20 hours on it during weekend trips in the last 2 months and everything seems in working order. It is one of the quietest units on the market in my opinion. Had it sitting 2 feet from the RV and couldn't hear it over the noise from another generator 50 yards away. I haven't had to deal w/ customer service yet (knock on wood) so I can't comment on that. Just be diligent; break it in properly, replace the oil after break-in (replacing the spark plug can't hurt either) and treat it right. It's a small engine and small engines love to take advantage of those who don't treat them right. Oh, and the remote start will get you a lot of "man, that's cool. wish I had that" kind of comments.

very pleased with my iGen4500 purchase. easy to add the oil and start right out of the box. I read a lot of reviews which stated this model has automatic choke issues, well either I got lucky or they fixed the problem because mine works fine. haven't owned it for long so my review is limited to just a few tests but very happy with it so far. looking forward to camping season.

This inverter is just what I needed, ax I'm just starting my journey to going to minimum grid to hopefully off grid. This is my backup to my backup. It provides me the power I need on cloudy days to power my solar power stations. I only wish it had an additional outlet.

I bought this for my new camper. A must for any adventure!! After 2 weeks of research on 11 different models, this was the one. Added the oil, connected the battery and we were ready to go. Remote start? Heck yea!! Anybody can start this machine. Runs all night in the camp ground and does not bother a soul!!
