Very easy to start

I bought this for our small rv which we are converting into a food truck. I wanted it since it had the remote start or the push button start. After following the instructions on how to prepare it with oil, connecting the battery, etc it started on the first try and the second and third. No issues. The remote is attached to the pull start when delivered.

Great so far

I purchased the Igen4500 to replace an older, smaller conventional generator. Set up was easy after reading the manual completely first. The generator started right up and I ran it for a half hour or so. It's really quiet compared to the conventional generator. It's primary function will be to supply backup power after a Hurricane. So, it will be a while (hopefully never) before any long term usage. I do not however expect any problems because of the build quality.

Wonderful Remote

The ease of starting the generator from the comfort of the trailer during a rainstorm will be wonderful. The requirement of starting with "no-load" is being accomplished with our in-line surge protector that determines the line condition after about two minutes before turning on power to the trailer.

Great Generator

Purchased in February. Finally installed it late last month and have been using it since. Easy to use and works very well. Using lpg with it. Helpful display for power and output. Definitely would buy it again and recommend it. Would be helpful if the other display items worked with lpg. Thank you.

Happy

Perfect size for my camper, very quiet, fuel efficient, and love the remote start. I like all the features and gauges and clever little screw on funnel for no mess oil changes. Also, like the included battery charger, only thing I would change is some type of light indicating whether it is charging or charged but other than that I think it’s a perfect generator. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Quiet running

I bought this April 23. 2022 and the set up was super easy . Even included the oil and a funnel. The best part was the remote. I stood 50 feet area around the cornor of my concrete house to test it and it still worked. Its queit and has many features. It even included a battery charger so that stays charged if you dont use the genrator for a while. My only disappoimtment is that the charger I recieved you have to remember to only charge it once a month and if you leave it on by mistake it could fry the battery. I am working to get a diffrent charger from customer service and at least they are responding so we shall see. But its a minor issure even if frustrating in a otherwise everthing I was looking for in a generator.

Excellent Performance

I bought this generator for our 30A service travel trailer. I wanted something quiet when we are boondocking. It is very quiet, especially when using the eco mode. It idles at a quiet purr. I really like the remote start which makes it very convenient to start/stop while still in the camper. I get approximately 15 hours of runtime with AC and other appliances running on and off. PROS: Quiet (Even at peak output) Watt Output Weight Digital Display Features Remote Start/Push Button Start/Pull Start Very fuel efficient (approximately 5 gallons of gas per weekend of camping) CONS: Oil fill location Oil drain plug location Air filter location

Fired right up first time with remote start

I did a lot of shopping before I selected this unit. Barely will fit under new bed cover at 20-1/2”. Unit measures right at 20-3/8”. Running fine for a 4 hour break in. Seems to be working just fine. Ran it out of gas. Put in another couple liters and will let it run dry. Cycling loads for 269w to 1.4kW. A little loud but this had one of the lowest dB ratings. Can still talk over it.

Nice and compact

We bought this to replace our larger 7000 Honda it’s as quiet as the large one and compact it runs our air conditioner and coffee maker at the same time that’s a big plus we do a lot of dry camping I’m by myself sometimes and it’s easy for me to load and unload whereas I could not the 7000 I had to depend on someone else I love this little thing

Love the remote start and the low noise level, but,,,

I now own two Westinghouse Inverter Generators. I bought the iGen2200 a few months ago and liked it so much I bought the iGen4500 to use at home and with my RV. It is the largest inverter generator I could find and the price was good. The generator is very quiet, extremely easy & convenient to start with the pushbutton or the remote fob, but, there are some things I don't like. The first is that the 30A receptacle is upside down. I had read about it in other reviews, but, didn't grasp the significance. I cannot completely plug in my RV plug because the plastic cover interferes with the plug. It also falls out easily since the weight of the wire is above the plug. The other thing that I don't like is more than just an annoyance. I bought the 4500 (3700 running) watt generator to be able to power the air conditioner in my RV when not connected to shore power. My RV has a 30 Amp connection. When plugged into shore power my AC, refrigerator, coffee pot, ice maker and lights (all LED) are all powered with no issues. When I try to run my AC only with my generator, it frequently trips into overload status. This generator should have no issues running my AC (3,700 Watts/110V = 33.6A). So, it is either defective or the rating is accurate. Maybe it needs a break-in period...? I've only used it on one camping trip so far. (Side note - I had ordered it for a cross-country trip. The original shipping date was well before my departure date, but, repeated delays in shipping dates caused it to arrive at my house the day before I returned from my trip). I could parallel both of my generators, but, the reason I got the 4500 was so that I didn't have to carry two generators, especially when one is as large and heavy as the iGen4500. I would give this a "qualified" recommendation depending on requirements.
