After some extensive research, I chose the iGen4500 as it provided the best feature at the best price. I needed a generator for my RV and my house but didn't want to spend thousands doing it. The iGen4500 has more than enough power for my RV and enough to run the essentials in my house. One of my primary requirements was low db. You can find much cheaper generators but if you're looking for one of the lowest decibels on the market in this price range, this is the one for you.

This generator is powerful yet quiet. It produces enough wattage to run my well pump and refrigerator and other appliances in my home during power outages but is still portable enough to be used for a vendor’s booth or camping. It’s fairly heavy but still transportable with the handle and wheels. It takes some strength or two people to get it up into the bed of my truck, but not so heavy to be totally impractical.

After reading some reviews apparently mine was finished on a Wednesday I have had no issues started up first time with a remote ,push button ,and pull start. I had a friend that had the same one absolutely loves it .That’s why I purchase this one ,so far so good very happy with its performance at our off grid property in the wood.It’s super quiet and ran it Friday,Saturday,& Sunday at the camp and burned 6.5 Gallons 2 campers just necessities no A/C unit this weekend was cool ,but I did run the air just to test it’s operation and it handled it no problem.Digital information is awesome and gives instant feedback once a load changes, Fuel economy, run hours at that load.

This generator has worked perfectly since day 1. After opening the shipping, I followed the directions, added the supplied oil, added the gas, and it started running without any problems. The generator is used to power my 5th wheel trailer. Between all my trips, the last one was to Tucson,AZ, 2,200 R.T. There has not been any problems with the unit. Since It no longer necessary to stop at a RV campground for power, the generator has almost paid for itself. Will highly recommend the unit

I love the external remote!!! Runs great and efficient! Easy to use and start! I wish there was a button to preload/head start heavy loads… when running my AC and then trying to start microwave at same time the generator fails and I have to reset it. The draw is well under 4,500 watts as my RV is only 30 amps.

Runs like a CHAMP! ...leaving worries and concerns behind. I waited months for this item to become available. After reaching out to Westinghouse to see if the item is still in production and would be returning to stock soon, they quickly advised several retailers would be receiving stock in early to mid-September. I signed up to receive alerts when the generator was back in stock and just as advised, in September the generator became available and I jumped on the opportunity. I live in SoCal where SoCal Edison has been cutting the power whenever a fly breaks wind, or as they call it, a PSPS Public Safety Power Shutoff due to Red Flag Santa Ana wind events, and the need for a home backup power source became evident as the shutoffs are more frequent, costly and a burden. The unit arrived in pristine condition and initial setup was simple taking no time at all. SoCal Edison has graciously provided opportunity to use the generator 3 times clocking a total of 100 hours so far. The unit has been reliable, running flawless, excellent run time on fuel, and super quiet compared to my WGen6000 conventional generator. An additional relief is knowing the unit produces low THD, so I have no quarrels powering sensitive devices. I have been impressed with this unit and have been extremely happy. I am so pleased with the unit and how it supports creature comforts that when SoCal Edison calls giving notice power may be restored in 1-4 hours (usually happens in the middle of the night), I (almost) hope they would wait and restore the power at a decent hour when I don’t need to crawl out bed and disconnect the generator in the wee hours of the night. My wife gives the iGen4500 praises upholding continuity as Wi-Fi continues to broadcast keeping her connected, her Hallmark channel is relatively uninterrupted, so Christmas shows remain on schedule throughout the year and her wine remains chilled at the ready. Load: Typically, I have it running at ~25% load supporting 2 refrigerator/freezers (28.0 cu. ft/18.0 cu. ft), 2 cable TV/DVR boxes, broadband and Wi-Fi boxes, 2 TV’s, 2 surround sound systems, a security system hub station, laptop with dual monitors, keyboard and mouse, 4 lights and I can charge a cell phone with no issue. As needed, I plug in either a coffee maker, microwave, or toaster/boiler/air fryer oven, and it would accommodate the load jumping to ~50% load capacity with a slight increase in engine noise. Fuel consumption: Under these conditions (~25% load), I would average ~17-20 hours of run time on a full tank of gas in efficiency mode. Maintenance: The digital control panel is a plus. It is not an absolute necessity, but it makes scheduled maintenance, output monitoring, fuel level, remaining run time, and lifetime run time available in a simple panel. My only comment for an area of improvement is the amount of access space available for maintenance when performing oil changes. The available space is minimal, but you can get the job done. Last note, since I have the iGen4500, I only run my WGen6000 as to not neglect it, keep it in a ready state, and to wake up the neighbors.

I bought this last month and took it out immediately on a trip, It did everything I expected perfectly. It got great fuel economy, was very quiet (especially for its size), was very user friendly, it had plenty of power to run all accessories on my travel trailer. Having the key Fob to remote start and shut off is an extremely convenient feature, I found myself only using that to cycle it on and off. Only con is that it Is very heavy, especially when it's full of fuel. It's definitely a two-person lift to get it into a truck, But it has a nice retractable handle and wheels to move it easily when it's on the ground. Totally expected with a unit of this size.

I just purchased this generator and am very pleased with it so far. Build quality is good, everything was easy to set up with no hiccups, and it is also quiet. My only gripe is that the plastic is sharp in a few places especially at the battery access. The starting fob is convenient and was a main reason for me to purchase this over other machines. If my opinion changes, I will be sure to update this review.

We have truly enjoyed this generator to cool and supplied lighting to our Ministries mobile closet. We have had it a few days over one year and Now that it’s out of warranty, we are having issues. Hoping that it is something minor so we can get our ministry closet back on the road.

Followed set up directions. Started on the 1st pull, push start, and remote. Tested for a short while on rv. Ran one 15k ac but not two at same time. I am near 5500' right now in Sd. I will test more in a few weeks as I have a week long boondock camping trip planned. Plastic housing on unit fits poorly in a couple areas. RV plug still installed upside down as in previous reviews.
