- 3 out of 5 stars review6/14/2020I purchased this generator a month ago. First time took it camping it started twice and then did not start. It would go through the two start cycles and not start. I contacted customer support and was told to tap the carb because of a possible stuck float. When I removed the cover one of the plastic alignment pins broke or was broke. I soon noticed that there was a screw on the automatic choke that was not just loose but extended out about and inch. I tightened all the screws and and it started up and has worked great ever since. It just sucks that I had to work on a brand new item and in the process the side cover broke. If it were not for the choke issue I would have given this item 5 stars. Started right up using the remote after turning over maybe 6 times. Ran for 5 hours on 1 gallon of gasoline with loads varying from 0 to 50% of capacity. After that break in run it ran both RV (50 amp service) air conditioners and the electric water heater and indicated 75% of capacity. Comes with a funnel that threads into the dipstick/oil fill port, spark plug wrench and screwdriver. The 10mm drain plug is a little difficult to get at and there is a positive lead (with a red rubber cover) very close that one needs to be cognizant of. A 4” long open end wrench works. The noise level is not loud at all, wife says it sound like a lawnmower running from inside the house. Starts up with a push of a button or the remote. Pull starting fires up maybe after the second or third pull. It's will take two to lift without injuring your back, but if push come to shove you can do it by yourself. Great product and very satisfied.
Better Than Expected

Much more fuel efficient also. It has a slight uneven idle when is on economy mode without load. Runs perfect on normal. The only other issue was a sticky fuel level float, that needed a little push to get free. Overall is great portable power for not a lot of money.

Directions for use are simple and should allow for easy operation. Looking forward to using it on trips where normal RV hook-ups are not available. It appears it will be able to power all of our necessary devices without any strain on it or us.

I took the side cover off and operated it manually. We will see if the battery being a little week has any thing to do with it. Over all a nice and quiet unit with nice features. I would recommend this generator to all of my camping friends.

Remote starter was must to have for me, it works great. The unit won't start without enough oil; this was the only issue I had: it's hard to figure out how much oil went in and its level. Other than that - it's a great product.

Had a small concern initially when trying to turn off the generator the push button and the remote would not shut it down. Had to turn the battery switch off. But after having to leave and come back and before calling customer support, gave it another try and both the push button and remote worked. So all is good as of now. Can't wait for the wife to use it on her next horse back riding trip.

Was impressed with how quiet it actually runs and fuel consumption was very efficient. Had some trouble with the key fob and push start every time after refueling but not a total deal breaker for I just used the pull start. Overall a worthwhile purchase!

However, it's a beautiful piece of equipment and runs very well. Filling it with oil was a lot like trial and error. The funnel is very helpful but I had to keep removing it and checking to ensure that I hadn't overfilled the generator with oil. I think it would also be helpful to have a battery status indicator.

The only problem I had was to remove right cover to connect carburetor automatic choke wire as mentioned in most reviews( definitely a production problem ). It starts up and runs great so far. This generator will work fine to run my house for what I need.

Pulls 11A well pump while my 10A heat pump, some lights, a 3.5A dehumidifier are already running. Performing exactly as I would hope. Note that this unit is quieter than my Champion Power 3100W gen at every load from 0 to 100%. This report is with about 95 hours so far in an RV setting.
