I recently purchased the generator. After the quick set up, I started the unit up and ran it for 30 minutes. There were no problems. The features are easy to use. I like the look, telescopic handle, and remote startup. Then I ran the generator under load of various appliances of 120v. Also, the 30amp receptacle for the RV performed well. I am looking forward to using it for seasonal camping.

We purchased this to power our travel trailer and to take boon docking. The best feature is the remote start! It worked wonderfully when we used it with our trailer. Everything worked as stated and it couldn't have been easier to start and operate! And the noise level is very doable, no complaints from any neighbors! Very happy with this product:)

I am very impressed with all the features of this generator, especially considering the price. It has all the features and more than the Honda, Yamaha, Predator, and Wen generators I compared it to. I have a 2000 watt Yamaha already and was looking for a larger companion to it. This Westinghouse one has me sold! The 3 year warranty is an added bonus and piece of mind. I absolutely would recommend to friends. In fact I already have.

Just received the generator a few days ago. Have started the break in period (1hr.) and all seems to be good so far. I'm very pleased with the noise level being so quiet and the weight of this generator which I can load in my truck by myself. Looking forward to using it on the job site as well with the toy hauler. So far, I'm a happy camper

I purchased this particular Inverter generator because of how much power it produces vs cost. It's much cheaper then the Honda's of the world (not saying they are bad just out of my budget. For now). So far it's seems like it will do exactly what I need which is to power my house (minus the 220 loads) items that I will need during a power outage. The newest model does have an hour meter in the digital display. I don't care that the 30 amp plug is upside down or not. Just use a bungee cord or coat hanger around the handle to relieve cord strain and this will keep it plugged in nice and tight. Only have had it a few weeks so can't comment on durability but I bought it for the price and the electric start (other family members come to my house during a hurricane so this allows them to start it) so time will tell

Seems like a solid, well-designed product with excellent data displays to keep you aware of operating characteristics. Good instructions. Well packed. But as I was setting it up, it felt a bit flimsy. For example, bolts were missing in a couple of crucial places, and the plastic housing seemed flimsy. Didn't want to complete the setup until the missing bolts were replaced.

After extensive research on an affordable emergency backup generator for our home, we decided on an inverter generator instead. Newer energy efficient furnaces (the HVAC board) require clean power (THD <3%). Also the clean power this inverter produces would be plenty for our essentials (i.e. two furnaces, two fridges, sump pump and few lights), on top of this it is super quiet. So far so good and we couldn't be happier with our recent purchase!

I have only used it three times so far. What I can say is it is very quiet which is exactly what I was looking for as I primarily plan to use it for camping. The handle and wheels make it easy to move. I really like the electric starter and the lights and display are simple. It runs my camper A/C with plenty of power to spare. All in all its just what I was looking for.

I just received this generator. Switched from a competing brand. So far I like the features this generator has over my previous one. The slide out handle, remote start and digital display are definite upgrades. We will see how it runs during the cold MN winter. Will wait on my final opinion until then.

Just in case of California PG&E PSPS I bought this generator back in Sep 2020. One month later, I had to use this unit for the power outage. I bought this unit based on the great reviews online, also had to wait for Lowes’s to restock the unit. So going in I had high expectations for the igen4500. All I can say is I’m not disappointed. This unit works as I expected. After following the clear instructions that came with the unit, I ran it for 4 hours the 1st day and then 10 hours straight the 2nd day. The unit was able to power the 2 refrigerators and 1 small freezer we had. I also had my internet modem, computer and couple of lights hooked up to it at the same time. Without this unit, we would not be able to work and attend school online. Very happy with the purchase so far.
