- 4 out of 5 stars review2/13/2021Read many reviews and had concerns. Then they were out of stock for several months. Not sure if it was production issues or covid delays. Back in stock mid January so i took a chance. No issues on startup just follow startup instructions. We'll see how it goes in the months to come. I do like they included a charger for keeping generator battery charged.

We did have an issue with the carburetor right out of the box & had to take it in for service. Our service guy told us this is a common issue with most generators as they test them in the factory & often fuel is left in the carburetor & gunks up during shipping/storing. He recommended using only non-ethanol fuel which we have found out (the hard way) that this does seem to be the best way to keep from having issues. It runs quietly (for a generator) & powers our 16" camper perfectly!

Arrived today and I'm impressed by the way it's packaged, included accessories, ease of start-up, op manual that's easy to read, well planned. I don't have to read between the lines to try to translate what the pertinent info is. I'm going to put it through it's paces shortly and thoroughly expect it to perform well. Would probably give it a 5 star if I had run it today, but ran out of time. Deserves a 5 star if performance meets the design features.

Pushed the electric start and it started immediately, ran it for 10 minutes and was very pleased with the quiet. Turned the gas off and ran the carburetor dry. Ready to go for the first camping trip.

I love the remote start feature and I am impressed with how quiet this machine runs. I would recommend this machine to anyone in the market for an inverter generator.

Seems to be very well made and the fit and finish are great. I added the oil and some gas to and fired it up. Runs smooth and quite. plunged up some things to it and ran it for one hour. I know I haven't had it long enough to give a comprehensive review yet but so far I am very impressed. I'm sure it will run everything it our 26 foot camper no problem. Thank you Westinghouse for offering such a feature packed generator at such a great price!

I can also see this being useful camping. I had no problems with the unit. It was delivered straight to the house. I unboxed it, followed the instructions for adding oil, gasoline, and connecting the battery, and it started right up. I haven't had a real power outage since it arrived, but I've tested it out on shop lights and other tools - no issues whatsoever. It is easy to maneuver with the wheels and handle. Not too loud when running. Overall I am glad I bought this and wish I had done it earlier! A coworker of mine has the same one and he loves it. My parents also have the same one and they...

The unit started up on second push of the button and I ran it with a light load for 2 hrs with no issue. It is very quiet, I will run it this weekend under full load to see if that holds true.

I have owned several generators in my life but this one is by far the quietest and most economical to operate. It is small but powerful and only weighs 100 LBs so it easy to move around with the telescopic handle and wheels. If your needs equeal 4500 peak watts this is the geenerator for you.

The generator is pretty efficient and doesn't take too much gas, and it's also pretty quiet. Overall, glad to have made this purchase.

It will run water heater, fridge, coffee maker, 30 amp battery charger with no problem. It will not consistently start my onboard ac/heat as the unit has to many amp spike at start up. When it does get it started the generator handles the load no problem. Run time remaining, volts, fuel level, total hrs, fuel gauge, load level all very nice and works great! Just going to change oil at 17 hours (1 tank of fuel). Will report back after getting more run time. Right now I would replace it tomorrow if I needed a generator again. Very happy!

The remote and electric start features are also great (and easier on the arm/shoulder than a pull start)!

The Gen.arrived with a clean box and no signs of damage Gen. also no sign of damage, Looked very good.after filliing with fuel/oil and connecting the battery it started with no issues, runs great.I ran the AC and microwave at the same time it run the gen. up to 100% and the gen. never missed a beat. however I am concerned after shutting it down then restarting and getting a backfire popping sound. I am not sure if this is anything serious.other that that, It seems to be a great Machine.
I would recommend this product to anyone.

The generator started up after two attempts oon the electric start. After that it started with just one push. We carried on a conversation standing next to the generator without having to raise our voices. Decibels was a main consideration in purchasing this generator. We plan to use to power our 5th wheel camper. We have one A/C unit. My wife and I are able to lift it as well. That was another consideration over other heavier models. Nice panel display.

Lasted a good trip from Thursday to Sunday with a full tank and 1 refill with pretty heavy use. Only issue was could not get it started when I first got it. Turned out the plug for the choke was never plugged in which is a common issue as many videos popped up. After that was fixed it works well.

Westinghouse made a few enhancements which altered the provided instructions content a bit: e.g. There is now a split connection cable connecting the alternator to the battery which simply needs to be connected to bring the battery online -- both battery terminals are already connected (better design).

The Igen4500df is quiet easy to start fairly portable and very fuel efficient great generator.
