- 5 out of 5 stars review1/8/2021I bought this about a few days ago and after 14 hours of using it on a pellet smoker to smoke a brisket to BBQing ribs, it is the best investment ever did when not near a power outlet. Nice and quiet and very easy to use and start-up every time. Produce clean energy and able to charge USB locally on board. Nice feature as it can charge the onboard battery while in use. We will see how the long-run goes in the near future use.

We wanted a remote start/stop. Arrived in timely manner. Removed engine service cover and unable to resecure one cover screw, but others held. Like the idea of using parallel-operation with a variety of other Westinghouse inverter generators.

Battery was not charged up, but we have it on the charger and we don't expect any problems. The only con that we could come up with was that the oil was a bit awkward to put into the generator, but other than that we highly recommend this generator.

This baby fired right up and we had power all night and the next day with hardly using any gas. This was in the middle of Texas summer so AC are a must. We love this generator so much now. You never need one until you do. Oh and super quiet.

Bought this one mainly because it had the highest power rating and the lowest noise rating (52dba). While it is pretty quite, 52 dba is not as quite as I thought, but still, we could not hear it running from inside the house or on the other side of the house. We only plan to run this in a power outage, so I doubt anyone would complain during that time. I tested a bunch of stuff running at the same time: Refrigerator, sander, shop vac, and some lights. When the generator arrived I started per the instructions right away and was blown away by not only the quality but it was more quiet that I was expecting. I can run my 15000 btu Rv air, the refrigerator and microwave all at one time. I’m so glad I went with the 4500 watts. I have access to other 3000 watt generators and this 4500 watts monster is quieter than the EU and Briggs even at 50% load. I’ve already told my closest friends to go buy this generator.

After hooking up the battery and filling oil and gas, it started on the first pull. I ran it a few hours with a light load. It is very quiet. Read 70db standing right next to it and 52-54db at 50'. I hooked it up to my living quarters horse trailer and it indicated 25% load with the 13,500btu A/C running, went to 75% with the microwave. Who knew they drew this much power? Then turned on a 1500 watt ceramic heater and it approached 100% but the main breaker still held. I highly recommend this product.

I like that this generator is small enough to travel with but provided enough power to run everything I need in the trailer. It has nice handles to lift it into the truck and the wheels make it nice to move it around. The remote start makes it nice to start up without having to go outside!

This generator came highly recommend by my brother and four of his camping buddies who just returned from a trip out west were they boon-docked multiple times. I can’t wait to try it out for myself. The remote start feature works flawlessly. We would recommend this to anybody looking for a quality generator with all the features. I've seen a few people complain about no oil fill funnel or spark plug wrench, ours came with both items and new oil for the first fill up as well.

All I do is run a few lights and it can’t even handle that. The battery has never held a good charge. I have to either plug it in to charge it before I use it or either I have to jump it off and it always sounds like it’s running out of gas and acts like its stalling out and it eventually does. Most the time I have to use the cord to start it and if I’m lucky it’ll start after two or three times of pulling it but in most cases it takes more than that. Don’t waste your money

After comparing specs and reviews of a similar Champion model to the iGen 4500, the choice was easy. The iGen 4500 holds more fuel and has longer running times. It also has a scrolling screen that provides run time, remaining fuel, amp draw and will also charge it's own battery. I have a much larger RV with AC and this will handle everything I have running and turned on at the same time. It will run all night and I don't have to get up and refill it in the middle of the night. Remote turns it on when you need it and off when you don't want to walk outside when it's cold, rainy or snowing. What more could you ask for.

It’s now April so I am getting ready for use. I filled with oil, fuel, and connected the battery. Unit fired right up both with push start on the unit and with the remote. I let run for 30 minutes to start the breakin period. The unit was quiet especially for the size. I didn’t test with a meter but it’s possibly a little quieter than my Generac 2200 watt inverter. Gave 4 star as I haven’t used at all to be able to give a five star rating. Also it’s nice to have the extendable handle but it feels flimsy like the handle on travel luggage. It's the quietest available with 4500/3700 Watts starting/running power. I primarily bought it to keep my fridge/freezer running during power outages, which seem to be happening more often where I live. Since I live in the city (suburbs) I didn't want to disturb the neighbors, particularly those that don't have power of their own. It's very easy to move about with the pull out handle and wheels. I'm still in the break-in and test phase, but if it keeps operating as well as it has been, I'm probably going to pick up another for my daughter.

Disappointed that it would not run out of the box, we had to take it apart and attach some wires that came lose during shipping, apparently it is an issue and we found the fix online. Wish remote had a google between full power and low power.
